s/d restaurants

can anybody tell me about the restaurants at the s/d? which are a must do...which to advoid. also do they have a place to grab a quick salad? thanks!

Blue Zoo is a great seafood place. Il Mulino is supposed to be pretty good Italian (I'll know for sure after I go there for dinner in about 4 weeks).

We had great service and food at Il Mulino in October. It was a little loud in the entry, there were a lot of people in the bar area. We were placed in a small room with a few tables in it, which made it cozy and quiet. It is chilly in there, so take a light jacket or sweater.

The food was excellent. They serve bread and foccacia and dipping oil for the table to share I had minestrone soup and gnocchi with bolongnese. The soup was hearty and full of robust flavor. The gnocchi portion was huge-I can eat quite a bit, but I had to take the rest back in a doggy bag. My parents both had the spaghetti carbonara and caesar salad and both were great.

Lowes Chevy, Do you know if you had to book this at 180 days. We are checking into the Swan and I am thinking this might be a good first night to eat. But I don't know if they take adr or can you just walk in and they will find you a place to sit.

This was the one restaurant I made the ADR when I arrived at my resort. The others I made well before hand. I did not have a problem getting a 7 PM ressie. CRO will make ADRs for the restaurants at the S/D, so it does not hurt to make one. It may be beneficial to have an ADR, especially if there is a convention at the Dolphin, which will make the place fill up pretty quick.

PS, it was the week of October 4-13th of 2007 when we went

Blue Zoo is one of our favorite restaurants. We like the Cafe as much as the main dining room.

For a great breakfast or brunch, there's Fresh.

Kimonos has wonderful sushi.

Cabana Bar & Grill makes a mean blackened grouper sandwich & what I think is the best burger in WDW.

We eat alot of our meals at S/D. We find the quality & service has been consistently good.
