S & D Food and Wine Classic

This will be our first time at Swan and Dolphin's Food Classic. Just wondering if anyone from previous Classics would like to share their strategy on attacking this event.

Seems to be getting larger with each year and we want to make the most of the 4 hours allotted on Saturday night to try as much as we can of the food and wine (well as be able to stay on our feet)

I've gone for the past three years. No real strategy, just check in, then walk along the causeway toward the Dolphin, turn around & head back toward the Swan, making a right and going along the walkway, mostly heading towards Shula's at the end for some beefy goodness, and noting what we might want to try on the way back. Last year, they had a food truck park kind of by the Swan pool that was also interesting. We've never really stopped and grabbed a table for the night, either, although I don't think it's a bad idea.

Curious to see what other responses you get!

Thanks for the reply....did you notice if the crowds were heavier early on or later in the evening...?
Also what is the earliest you can check-in?

Would love to know about this also. We will be going to this for the first time this year (although we are going with friends that have gone before). Really looking forward to this.
