S/D at New Year's Eve

Just found out we may have to be in another part of Florida after Christmas. I won't know for another two weeks, but it's possible that we may be able to travel up to Disney for 12/30 & 12/31. Wondering if anyones tried booking at the S/D or around there (I get the teacher's rate) or if it sells out this early due to New Years. Didn't want to call until I'm sure we're going, but know it might already be too late. Tks.

I saw that they had AAA rate at ~$192 per night for NYE.

If you think there's a chance you might want to be there for NYE, go ahead and book it. It's a lot easier to make a cancellation than get a room when they're gone.

A few years back when I was booking rooms for Christmas/NYE CRO kept saying WDW resorts were sold out but they did have availability at the Swan/Dolphin.
