Hi all,
We have reservations for Dec when I called CRO for our resr Dec 7-13 they told me that the only room rate they had available was conceiger and delux. Now I'm at a softball tounry so I can't check my rate, but it was a $20 a night difference between the rooms. Now reading some of the post I'm concern about the view. We were down there in August and I believe we were on the 4th floor. We had a pool view and it was very nice. Because we could see the animals while we were walking to where ever we were going.. Now if I"m thinking correctly THe conceriger is on the 6th floor, we requested a savannah view.. But would I be better off changing to a Delux room an requesting 4th floor?

What is the difference between the concerige and the delux rooms? We have requested a day bed and bunks..

Also what is going on this week at WDW??? it seems like it's very busy- by the rooms available??

we are paying a little over 2000 for our concerige room for the 6 nights.. Is that a good rate??

There are only a handful of rooms on the 6th floor.. most concierge guests stay on the 5th floor with a glorious savanna view.

I would not worry, just request a 5th floor arusha view room.

If for some remote chance they put you on 6 anyway and you are not happy with the view, ask to change rooms. Wherever your room is you will still have access to the lounge.

Have fun,

Are there special rooms on the 5th floor for concierge, or is it just any savannah view room on the 5th floor can be a concierge room if it needs to be? We just got back from a 5th floor savannah view room on the Sunset Savannah and it was just a standard room, not a deluxe room, and I thought all the concierge rooms were deluxe rooms. We're just wondering how the set up is since we'll be staying AKL concierge in June and would like to have an idea of where our room would be and what it will look like (std. or deluxe). We really didnt like being on the 5th floor since we had treetops that blocked our view and much preferred our 2nd floor room and are thinking about requesting to be down there in June for the better view. Is this possible?

From what I have experienced (twice) and from what I have read in trip reports, they only use the deluxe rooms facing Arusha directly off the lobby on the Kudu & Zebra Trail.

These are wonderful rooms with a gorgeous view and in very close proximity to accessing the lounge.
