Where do you go to receive your resort refillable mug that is included with the dining plan?

How do they know not to charge for the mug that you receive with the dining plan?

We're not pop drinkers, but milk would come in handy for the little ones for breakfast and keep us from having to buy it. Is milk included or only drinks from a soda fountain?

We took our to the cash reg in the food court & they scanned our card & removed the tag. milk is not included.

You go to the food court cashier for the mugs. Milk is not included, only fountain drinks, which include hot chocolate, lemonade, iced and hot tea, coffee & pop. I've heard but not sure- some resorts had apple juice?

I've never seen apple juice for the refillable mugs, only in bottles that can be a beverage on the dining plan.

All your dining entitlements, including the mugs, are on your KTTW (Key To The World - room key) so to use any of them you just present your card and the mugs and the cashier will charge it to your dining plan and cut the tag off.

As PPs have said, you go to the cashier, they swipe your KTTW cards, and give you the mugs.

As for milk, no it is not included. I just got off the phone with Disney, because I have been pondering the same question. Items such as apple juice used to be included but have since been removed. The following drinks are included with the refillable mug:
Fruit Punch
Powerade
Coca-Cola
Diet Coke
Sprite
Vault Energy Drink
HI-C Pink Lemonade
Barqs Root Beer
Orange Fanta
Coffee
Decaffeinated Coffee
Hot Chocolate
Variety of Hot Teas
Water

Here's a little known fact: you will receive discounts on drinks in the parks with the refillable mug.

How can you get discounts with the mug? There is not any place there that will fill a mug for you? We have been on dozens of trips and never heard this.

Where did you hear that? The only way to get a discount on a refillable mug is to purchase the old animal topper mugs at AK and with your receipt you get discounted refills for the day at AK.

The rules for the refillable resort mugs are written right on the side of the mug.

Great list Andyman8. The Lemonade is Minutemaid, and differs at resorts. Some have the Lemonade, and some have the Pomegranite Lemonade.
I thought at some point in time I saw Apple Juice  Wasn't sure, because as i said, some resorts vary slightly the offerings.

I haven't heard the parks give a discount if you have a resort mug either. As far as I know, the resort mug is only good for your resort drinks. Some parks sell a park mug, like the water parks.
However I'm sure gonna ask our next trip. It would be ecological to provide your own mug at the parks for a discount. Much less waste. I carry my resort mug to the parks on a caribener attached to my cross body bag to get ice water. And for easy refill when I get back to our resort.

Milk is actually reasonably priced in Jackson Square shop. I think around $2.50 for a quart, and then keep it in your fridge. We drink a lot of milk as well, but used a lot of our snacks to pick up pints of milk at the food court and put them in our fridge.

If you eat at the resort, choose milk as the beverage that is included with your CS meal. Use your refillable mug for the drink and put the milk in the fridge for breakfast. My daughter always gets milk with her CS meal option. I took juice for mine. Other bottled beverage options we stock piled in the room included vitamin water, powerade or water.

As stated, a CM on the phone told me.

Unfortunately, the phone CMs disseminate an awful lot of mis-information. Even if you dial a number that claims to be at a particular resort, you are getting a call center -- they just answer the phone as though they are at that resort. Most of the phone CMs are pretty good, but well, you just don't always get correct information. There is no discount in the parks for using the resort mugs. There is a reusable mug exclusively for the water parks that you can bring back and get a new bar-code sticker for $5 that allows you refills for that particular day. There is a reusable mug at Disney Quest that you can refill for $1 for the calendar year. Those are not the same as the resort mugs. The signage at the resorts states the mugs are good ONLY at the resort where you purchase them (so even if you eat at another resort's food court, you are not supposed to refill your mug there, exceptions being sister resorts like the Port Orleans or All-Star Resorts).

Just wanted to add that some of the Resort Quick Service locations such as the Contempo Cafe @ Contemporary and Captain Cook's @ the Polynesian also offer Coke Zero, which is not offered everywhere else.

All food courts or in the Gift shops of the Deluxes have quarts of milk somewhere. Also now that the Value Resorts have add Mini-Fridges this makes breakfast in the Room an easier option.

This. You still get a beverage choice with every CS meal credit you use on the dining plan. with the refillable mug, you can use that beverage choice to pick something you can use at a later meal. We have done this before ourselves as well.

They did used to have apple juice but that was a good 4 or 5 years ago.

Along with the list of beverages that has been posted they also have 4 types of iced tea.

Speaking of refillable mugs and coffee...Anyone know if the creamer offered for coffee is the non-dairy kind? I can't stand that stuff and want to be prepared if there isn't any light or 1/2 and 1/2 cream.
