I have spent 2 days trying to figure out the different editions that are available for both WDW and Cruise. I just ordered Passporter Deluxe (Leather binder) WDW 2004 off of Amazon.ca, but I still have questions re: DCL Passporter, so here are my questions based on what they are selling on Passporter website:

1. WDW 2004 - Spiral (pockets & elastic closure), Deluxe and Refill Kit for WDW. I believe that my Deluxe is the Spiral Guide, plus a leather binder and extra pockets - is this correct?

2. DCL (I know that 2nd edition won't be out until April/May): Paperback (no pockets), Deluxe and 2 different refill kits.

Here is the problem for DCL book on Amazon.ca - It has pre-orders available listed as follows: Hardcover, Deluxe-Ring Bound & Paperback. Does anyone know if the DCL Hardcover is the same as the WDW Spiral Guide? The Passporter website is still selling 1st edition only, so I couldn't make sense of the pre-orders available on Amazon. My DH said to just order another Deluxe version, but I don't think that I need 2 of those, so I need to know the difference between Hardcover & Paperback as itseems as if they are calling these books something different than the Passporter website.

Any help would be appreciated, Tiger

Tiger,
I just received my Passporter WDW Deluxe 2004. I ordered it directly from Passporter.com. The deluxe is not spiral but rather hole punched to fit in the binder which is like a looseleaf. I have the DCL Passporter first edition and it is paperback.
As far as I know you can substitute any pages from one Deluxe edition leather binder to another. So I don't think that you need another binder. I don't know of any 'hardcover' edition of the DCL Passporter. As far as I know the Passporters come in Deluxe and spiral and the DCL in paperback.
Here's a hint, after you receive your Passporter register it at Passporter.com. When you register it you get a 'coupon' code to order any edition of Passporter at a discount (usually better than Amazon's price). You can also sign up for newsletters, get advance notification when new editions are published and notification of updates to all editions (some were issued for the 2004 edition just this week). The updates can be downloaded and printed from their website. They have a choice of which style you have so the printed update comes with 'holes to punch and for the spiral they suggest that you slip the updates into one of the pockets.
By the way Passporter.com's service is great. You get confirmation emails and they reply in a timely fashion to any inquiries about your order. I will use them again to order my next edition of the DCL Passporter. Why not go to their site and email them. I am sure that they will be able to answer any questions that you have.
Hope this helps.

I just received my Passporter WDW 2004 edition today and it's great! I ordered from Amazon.ca because the prices directly through Passporter are actually more in US than Canadian - plus I would have to pay shipping and exchange on top of it.

Thanks for the suggestion about emailing them directly, but I did that and haven't heard from them which is why I posted here. I am going to try and post a question on Passporter Message board to see if any there can help me figure out the different editions available for the Cruise Passporter.

Tiger:)
