I'm confused about park hopping and readmission? I understand you can go from DL to DCA throughout the day. Does that mean you have to get a stamp on your hand? What's the difference between park hopping and readmission?

P.S. I'm a first timer to DL. The tips and threads on these boards have been invaluable.

Park hopping- walking a minute across the plaza thing from DL to DCA or vice versa

Readmission- exiting one park (DL or DCA), leaving for a bit, coming back into the same park

For both you need a handstamp and your ticket.

The process is actually identical though...as they will re-run your ticket (showing that is has been used that day so not taking away a day if you have parkhoppers), and then verifying that you have the hand stamp (so it was your ticket, not someone elses)

One other "task" if you are going to DTD or your hotel for a break, is that you'll have to walk back thru the security checkpoint to return to DL/DCA.

You do NOT have to go thru security to HOP from DL to DCA (& back).

& if you have no "bag" you don't have to stand in a security line.....just walk on thru. (another reason i wear cargo pants.....no "stinkin' badges" & no "stinkin' bags" )

Sometimes they will make you go through the line even if you don't have a bag. I wish they would have a dedictated line for no bags. It would makes things so much quicker for us.
