I can't believe I am seriously thinking about a quick trip to the World on my 40th birthday! But I am!!! I'm looking at 2-3 nights at OKW. Here are my questions--1. How can I get an OKW renovated studio? 2. Will all the work being done interfere with the experience of the stay at that resort? 3. If I want to get the Deluxe Dining Plan for just 1 day, do I need to tell them when I book the room? I was wanting to wait until closer to time to book the DDP, but I don't want it to mess up my reservation.
TIA!

Here are my questions--1. How can I get an OKW renovated studio? You can ask for 1 but there will not be a guarentee that you will recieve one no matter what you do unless you travel after the renovations are completed.

2. Will all the work being done interfere with the experience of the stay at that resort? When we were at OKW and work was being done it was in building that were not being used so I didn't see that it interferred with anyone's stay. I supose if seeing trucks in front of the buildings being renovated is annoying it could bother you but I would guess that alone is probably fine.

3. If I want to get the Deluxe Dining Plan for just 1 day, do I need to tell them when I book the room? I would tell them you need the trip segmented so you can add the dining plan later when you book so that the system will be set up for you but otherwise I wouldn't actually add it unless you are using it for meals that have to be prepaid and you don't want that hassle.

If you want the DxDDP for the entire stay, you don't need to segement your trip--only do that if you plan on not getting the plan for each night.

You do not need to let them know about the plan until you are ready to add and pay for it. This can be done up to 48 hours in advance.

Thanks for the responses. When will the renovations be complete?

March is the predicted finish date, and I think only buildings 27, 28, 29 and 56 remain to be done, so your chances are excellent that you will get a renovated unit. Frankly, I wish I could guarantee an non-renovated one!;)

Thanks for the responses. I am looking at going in June, so it's good to know there won't be any major work going on then. When I make the reservation, I'll be sure to segment the nights to allow for only 1 day on the DxDP.

Me, too, Diane. We'll see what we get on Friday for the weekend.
