I need a 1 bdrm. with washer/dryer and this is the only resort that I found that offers this.
There are others but it's worthwhile to call any resort you are considering to verify whether every 1BR has a w/d or just some. A few resorts that I know have w/d's in at least some of their 1BRs, are: Vistana Villages, Cypress Pointe Grandvillas, Star Island, Fairfield Cypress Palms, HGVC, Marriott Grande Vista. Usually, if you reserve at a timeshare resort that has w/d's in their 2BR lockoffs and you rent the 1BR portion with the full kitchen (not a partial or mini-kitchenette), then you will get the w/d.
I have not visited this resort so can't help with some of the questions.
One last question, how come I cannot do the presentation on the day I arrive?
Most timeshare resorts offer sales tours at 7 a.m., then again at 10 or 11 a.m. and perhaps at 1 or 2 p.m. They want to allow for ample time for a prospective buyer to get all their questions answered and paperwork completed before the end of the workday. They also seem to employ quite a lot of single parents who need to be home by the time their children get home from school. So they may or may not offer tours in the afternoons. This works fine since most people want to tour early then head for the parks.
Since check-in starts between 3 and 5 p.m., there would not be time for all this, if someone toured on check-in day, then opted to purchase. You take a sales tour under the premise that you understand it is the resort salesperson's hope that you will love it and want to buy. So while that may not be your intent, it is reasonable for them to deny this as an appointment time for your tour. I think they also hope you would be more rested and in a better "vacation" frame of mind during your tour if you don't tour on a travel day. JMHO.
