?'s About in Room Child Care

For those of you who have used Fairy Godmothers recently (we used them 2.5 years ago, when the twins were 6 months old, and they were GREAT) do you need to call for a reservation days or weeks ahead? We are leaving Sunday, and we'd like a night out sometime during the week. I think I read somewhere that they required 6 hours notice, but has anyone called during that timeframe and had them say "Sorry, we're booked" ?

I have used the cubs den at WL. My DS's loved it but it was pretty expensive for two kids. How does the in-room price compare? In the past I was nervous about the in-room because your kids are alone with a "stranger" unlike the cubs den which is filled with other kids, and other parents going in and out but after reading the posts I like the fairy god mother idea..my kids would be thrilled. How much does it cost and who do you call?

I'm going to be using Fairy Godmothers for this upcoming trip. My best friend is a cop and he was concerned, but I've assured him about all they do to insure the safety of the little ones. We're all going out together one night for an adults-only night, me, my DH, him, his DW, to the Boardwalk. Can't wait!

I, too, am a mom of B/G twins and mama needs some time to herself considering I stay at home with them all day!!!

I'll let you know how we fare!

I have a good friend from college who is a CM (somewhere in PI, I think). I asked him about Kid's Nite Out and he said they were great. He used to be a catering/conventions manager at the Contemporary and KNO was hired for many, many conventions while he was there. We will be using them for our trip at the end of the month. My DS5 is plenty old enough to speak up if something isn't right. He's already 'narc'ed on one babysitter here at home. He knows our cell numbers and will use them if necessary. Of course, I'm a bit nervous, they are my babies after all, but I trust my son (and my college friend).
Have a great trip!

We used KNO last year twice for our then-15-month-old and don't regret it a bit. We weren't leaving DS with a 'complete stranger', we were leaving him with an experienced, licensed, insured woman who was backed by a reputable company. DH and I got to go to V&A's one night and we had her back the next afternoon so that we could go ride some rides together. They had fun, we had fun. It was good all around. There's nothing wrong with using babysitters - in fact, I fully believe that having other caregivers is GOOD for our son. He needs exposure to other people and other activities.

And some people need something to feel smug about.

DH and I were wondering about this also. We have 4 DC- DS 6, DD 4, DD 3, and DS 1. We rarely go out. I run a licensed daycare from my house so I am usually the one taking care of children. :) We do not have parents that we can just leave our 4 children with for a few days while we take a romantic trip so we are gonna have to rely on Godmothers at Disney. We are taking our 4 DC because we truly ENJOY spending time with them. We take them on our "dates" about 98% of the time but all parents need a break sometimes. We are worried about the price however becase with 4 DC our break might break the bank!! :earseek:
