I've done a few searches but have yet to find what I'm looking for.
I know I've read that people have had either Vons or Safeway deliver to their hotels.
**How do they normally schedule this? I definitely don't want to be given a 4 hour window that they may or may not show up when I could be in the park.

**Is their a minimum purchase required? Delivery charge??

**Any other information is greatly appreciated.
THanks:thumbsup2

I've used Safeway aka Von's at home. When you first log on, before doing any shopping, pick your delivery time. They will generally have 2 hour or 4 hour windows (guess which costs more). Pick a time that you will be there. Some hotels will accept deliveries, but from my memory of past posts you're more likely to have to be there.

After you choose your time, then shop.

Usually they have a special on shipping for first time users.

If you have a fridge, be sure to buy water, b/c its so much cheaper than the dasani in the parks!

I think there's a $50 minimum, at least for von's...but I'm not sure.

The delivery time is what I worried most about....that stinks!
I wonder if they deliver after 8pm? :lmao:
That's when the park closes hee hee

Yeah, the delivery time is what keeps "talking" me out of ordering. Silly, really, b/c halfway through our trips I REALLY wish I had sacrificed a couple hours to have water, etc.

I take it you're flying down from Sacramento?

I once did get a Safeway delivery after 9pm, but that was a 5-7pm delivery gone wrong, as it was the day after a snow and ice storm had calmed down enough that some people could get out to the store. I didn't want to go out, but so did everyone else in our area, and the poor guy was ages late.

So I just went to the site, and it looks like deliveries start at 10am and go until 9pm. But the 9 is a window starting at 7. I wonder if, your first night, you could sacrifice closing the park to get to the hotel in time? You might be tired anyway, right? Or maybe schedule it for the time you're going to check in, get your bags into the room, freshen up, etc? Depending on your own usual check-in rituals, you could end up being there 2 hours....

Well the first night is out since we're hoping for the fireworks ...in case of winds on Friday night. I would be all for it on Sunday when we're checking in but we're checking in probably by 11 and doubt our room will even be ready.
Last year we did a walk down to a convenient store but seriously they seemed just as expensive as the park. I might make bf sacrifice some time hee hee :)

Does the card have a logo on it, like Mastercard or Visa? If so, I wonder if you can enter it in the spot for credit cards, like I do with my Mastercard-logo debit card.

Shopping online is kind of weird, especially if you're a visual, look around the store, kind of person. And if it isn't your usual grocery store it's weird, too. But you can take some time looking around the website (vons.com, albertsons.com) between now and your visit. But when all that food is delivered right to you while you've been doing other things, it's kind of nice! :)

MommyWithDreams, maybe you could schedule it for when you're checking in, and let them know you'll be in the lobby or the pool area? Instead of going right to the parks, you and your son could go swimming, and let BF hang out in the lobby? :)

Like I said, I've talked myself out of a delivery twice now, and each time I regret it.

I've been checking around on the website and I really do think it's worth it for us. I don't know why I didn't think about "naptime"...that would be a perfect time. I can't believe I'm kinda excited about shopping online for groceries. :rotfl2: Maybe it's because we'll be in DL

Really quick question...are you part of Sunshine Rewards (website where you can do surveys, do paid clicks, and most importantly shop, and get credits back)? If so, they have a link in their "offers" section to earn 1.75 sunshinerewards credits back with vons.

If you don't, then either never mind or go check 'em out, LOL.

i have sunshine rewards but i stoped useing it so long ago. im sure im still signed up lol i may have to check them out i also have mypoints and I have a few things i could cash my 3k pluse points

Nap time would be perfect for you then, I would do that. Last year we just raided my MIL's fridge before we left since we stayed there before, lol, and then got a case of water. DD and I drink water A LOT, so the case was just perfect amount for our 3 days.

Tell your MIL we'll be by on Sunday around noon then. :lmao:
I'm so glad you're on this board with me :)

3K MyPoints! That's good! 3500 points can get you a $25 Landry's gift card, which means Rainforest Cafe!

Hmmm never heard of that. I might just look into it. Thanks
