Hi ! We have used Goodings delivery service in the past, but they really messed up our order. Has any one used gardengrocer ??? If so, what was their delivery fee and did you need to be there when it was delivered or can they leave it with guest service if you pre pay?
Thanks, Lisa

We had a great experience with gardengrocer.com in early Feb. Brian actually met me in the lobby when we were checking in and then drove over and met me at our room. But he would have just left our things with the concierge if we hadn't been there.

He helped me unload and said that we could get a second delivery for free if we needed anything else. The minimum order is $50, with a $10 delivery fee.

We just ordered on-line with gardengrocer for a March 9th stay. So far everthing went smoothe....ordered the groceries and paid via paypal with the $10 delivery fee. Brian shortly after the order actually called me at home to confirm everthing and confirmed via email as well. Basically if we are not at the resort, which I told Brian we will be at the MK, he would leave the groceries with bell services and we can pick them up when we get back from the park. Yesterday I was able to change our ressie to our home resort and I contacted Brian to let him know.......so far the communication has been fantastic.

We used gardengrocer in Feb and had absolutely no problem. Delivered to our room when he said they would be and no problem with the order. Will definitely use them again. :thumbsup2

We are here now at VWL and used gardengrocer.
Brian couldn't have been any nicer.
There was a goof up on the order, when I paid Paypal issued an echeck instead of paying with CC. Before I clicked pay, I had changed it to pay with CC and it just didn't go thru that way.
Anyways, Brian refunded the echeck and I paid over the phone with my CC and everything went smoothly.
He called to double check the order and confirm delivery time, see if there was anything else we wanted. They even picked up a specific kind of tea for us that wasn't on the order page. Just really great service.

When he delivered our groceries, he helped unload everything and told my husband they will deliver any additional things we might need for free.

We will use gardengrocer in the future and recommend them to all traveling to WDW.

We used gardengrocer in Jan. and will use them again. It's a $10 service charge for a $50 min. order. We paid by credit card, so Brian just left the delivery with bell services. He called when he got to SSR, but we were in the MK. Very easy! :thumbsup2

We also used Gardengrocer in January. We stayed at FW Cabins. I ordered online my fee was $10.

When I got to FW I called Brian and he was there within a 1/2 hour. It was great, he said if I needed anything else to just call him and he would bring it right over. :thumbsup2

I will definitely use him again.

We haven't used gardengrocer, but I'd like to put in a recommendation for Marge at wegoshop.com--she was prompt, kept in touch, and got some of the hard-to-find things we wanted. Thanks, Marge!

Thanks everyone !!! I'm going to use garden grocer. I was just worried that I would have to wait around for the delivery !!!

What happens with cold items if you can't be there to meet the delivery guy?

Gardengrocer sounds too good to be true.
This is my question.
With a delivery charge of only $10.00, how do they make any money?
There must be hidden fees somewhere. Surcharge per item?

GardenGrocer charges a flat fee per item. So you are paying what they charge as opposed to what they purchased the items for. (This actually makes much more economic sense then the Wegoshop model for a place like Disney) Based on thier prices I think there is a small markup, but I am planning to use them this June.
