I'd love to know more about the holiday mixers (?parties) that DVC does for members during the holidays. Fun for adults and kids? Where exactly are they held? Food and drink? Any characters/entertainment? How long do they usually last? Is it very informal? Any additional cost? RSVP required?

Thanks for any info :)

I can help. I attended the one on the 1st Thursday of December. It is fun for kids and adults. In fact, I was with 4 other adults and we had a good time, just relaxing. Kids were having a great time too, they had games for kids, and they had dancing also. Yes, there were snacks, Christmas cookies, they had hot cider, cold cider and there was alcohol also, but it wasn't free. Everything else was free. Yes there were characters, and plenty of photo ops w/them. Some of the characters (goofy especially) interacted and danced with the children. Other characters-Mickey, Minnie, Chip & Dale, had to wait in line to have pics taken, but the lines weren't long.
It was held right behind the International Gateway to Epcot. It was 2 hours 3pm-5pm. It's very informal. No extra cost , unless you'd like a glass of wine, beer, etc. No RSVP needed.
HTH! :)

That sounds like great fun - thanks for the info. We'll be there in '06!
