We will be going for our first holiday visit to WDW this December (5-10) and would like to do the CP dinner package. On Sept. 2 we will be at the VWL. Can I make my reservations on site? If I remember correctly, there is a button to push for dining on the phone in the room. Would that work? Does it start at 7am?

Also, my parents will be joining us on the December trip. They are in their late 70's, and my mom has had a rough year health-wise. Also with me will be my 3 kids -- 14, 11, 8. What restaraunt would you recommend?

Thank you.

You can make reservations on site..but waiting until you arrive, you may not be able to go. The packages may be sold out.

We choose our restaurant by what type of food we like at EPCOT.

By on site, I mean while we are there on September 2. Can the resort do this for us?

I believe the only time anyone else makes your PS for you is if you're staying concierge, and it would have to be the concierge service for your December trip that would take care of it.

You can call from the phone in the resort, I don't know what the # is though, but I'm sure it's on or close to the phone. The phone lines open at 7 am EST.

Sure can. We make PS arrangements from our WDW resort room all the time. (But I can't remember if there is a button on the room phone for dining or not, either). Believe I just dialed the operator and asked to be connected to WDW Dining. It was easy!

Best wishes -

We were in the same predicament last year, only we hadnt heard an exact date...just they were opening up that week. We called the regular Disney dining number from our room to check. The first time they hadnt opened up yet, but when we tried another day, we were able to book it right there.
So, like the others have said, you shouldnt have a problem. :D

Unless you are going around Christmas, especially Christmas Eve, theres no rush to make the reservations when they first come out at 7:00am. It's not like CRT, it willn't sellout in a few minutes (Christmas Eve does go fast). I have called a couple days after they came out and have always got my first choice (for early December).
