Hey guys!

I have a coupla questions for you WDW experts as I am not (DCL yes, WDW NO!!!!) ...

This Sat. we're going on the DCL Western. My parents were supposed to then stay on for 3 nights at the Caribbean Beach and also attend the Cirque show - front row, center - 10/1 6pm show.

Due to a medical emergency (my Mom's Mom ... icky bowel obstruction), my Mom is no longer going w/ us, therefore there is no need for the Cirque tickets or hotel nights.

I'm wondering if they're just out the money (Disney Travel Co. Cancellation Penalties), or if there is a way to sell them to another DIS'er interested or reschedule for 9/2006 trip or ??? Cirque tix are will call under my Dad's name so don't know if someone else could pick them up? Hotel is through All Seasons.

I'm trying to help them, but before I call and talk to someone un-informed compared to you guys, I thought I'd ask the EXPERTS!!!!
Thanks....

Kendra

Whenever I order Cirque tickets and gotten them at the will call, they've asked for ID, so I do not think that someone else will be able to get them.
If your parents have a room only reservation they will be able to cancel w/o penalty. If they have a package, here is the info from the Disney website regarding cancellations:

Cancellation and Change fees

For a cancellation made 44 to 6 days prior to arrival, there is an additional cancellation fee of $100 per package plus any cancellation fees assessed by hotels or other suppliers.
For a cancellation made 5 days or less prior to arrival, there is an additional cancellation fee of $200 per package plus any cancellation fees by hotels or other suppliers. . In addition, with respect to Grand Gathering experiences, no refund will be given for cancellations made 5 days or less from the experience date. No refunds will be given to no-shows.
For a change made 44 days or less prior to arrival or that results in a rate change, there is an additional change fee of $50 per package plus any change fees assessed by hotels or other suppliers.
For changes, the change fees must be paid in addition to any increase in rate resulting from the change.
In addition: If your air travel has been ticketed, there will be an additional cancellation or change fee per ticket equal to the cancellation or change fee assessed by the airline. Please note that (x) cancellation of a nonrefundable airfare results in a charge equal to the entire amount of the airfare and (y) cancellation of a refundable airfare must be made at least 1 business day prior to departure.
Travel insurance is nonrefundable once deposit has been received. Upon any cancellation, the charge for travel insurance will be added to the other applicable cancellation fees.
If you cancel, amounts paid, minus cancellation fees and other amounts owed, will be promptly refunded
