After the recent post about hurricane season - which we are sailing in (8/28-9/4)... If you have already booked an excursion on your own and the ship gets rerouted, are you out your $$?

I would assume yes but has this happened to anyone?

Thanks all!!

It depends on the company that you are booked through. When we booked our own for March, Capt. Bryans in Grand Cayman was a full refund if the ship did not make it into port, as well as if we did make it to port , but the weather prohibited the sail. On the otherside, we booked the cozumel dune buggies and we would have been out the entire bundle. So, it really depends on who you book with and what their refund options are. Check with the tour operator. Many have refunds for cruisers!

Hello..

I booked the Jeep Safari with..

www.COZUMELINSIDER.com

This is what They say about Refunds..

"RESERVATIONS/CANCELLATIONS/REFUND POLICY:
This is a prepay activity. If your ship is unable to dock in Cozumel and you therefore cannot participate, your payment will be refunded. Hotel/island guests can re-schedule activity with 36 hour advance notice based on availability. Remember NO SHOWS are not refunded under any circumstances."

Hope this helps..

Captain Marvin's in Cayman Island also will not charge you if the ship does not dock. Also, the Royal Dolphin swim in Mexico.
