We (me, DH,DS9,DD7) will be spending this saturday at BB. We don't plan on taking in a cooler. Is it necessary to stake out chairs for the day? We were planning on renting a locker, depositing our wallets and towels and heading for the rides. Then just find a place to sit when we break for lunch. We didn't think there would be much time for just sitting. Any suggestions? Also my kids are set on BB but the theme of TL really looks so much more interesting to me. Did anyone find BB to be disappointing? Thank you for your input.

only hunt down chairs if you plan on wearing your self out , and will need a place to rest! We usually don't get a locker. We pile all our stuff on a couple of lawn chairs. This is where we come back to rest, get a drink, or eat lunch. Blizzard beach is not to be missed. My husband and son love all the water slides. I love the lazy river around the park (not sure of the real name). It goes through a small cave, and also has a "sneezing house" that shoots out freezing cold water on unsuspecting floaters! I love it!
You can bring in food/drinks, but they also have a nice size refillable mug you can purchase. The decor is adorable! (like snow all around w/Christmas music playing!) Goofy has also shown up both times we were there. He is in a patriotic swim suit and goes into the swimming areas. (You may want to purchase a disposable water camera).
Also, I was amazed at all the lifeguards!
Make sure you wear your sunscreen. Oh, also beware....those surprise photographers show up when you least expect it. The pictures seem to always be good though. You can view/purchase them at a store there.
Hope this helps.:sunny:

Even though I don't spend a whole lot of time in my chair when I go to BB, I still like to have one. It's nice, if you get tired, or someone in your party gets tired, to have a place where you can just go and sit down for awhile. BB has a lot of slides and there's a lot of walking around and waiting in line for your turn. Also, if you get something to eat or drink and there aren't any tables, you can always go back to your chair and have a seat there.

I don't thik you'll be disaapointed in BB, but which park you go to should be based on what interests you. BB is more slide oriented. TL has the amazing wave pool and the shark reef (wheer you can swim with the fishes, but not in a bad way :) ). TL has more of a tropical island theme, and BB has the melting snow, ski theme.

Both are lots of fun. Weekends are very busy so get there in time for the park's opening. That's when the rides are the least busy.

Have fun!

Thank you for all your help. If we decide to track down chairs any suggestions where we should look? Thanks

:) We were there on Monday , July 12th and it was great!! We did stake out chairs to put our towels on. Everything else went in the locker. You get back $2 or a souvenir mug when you return your key! I would suggest getting a chair near Ski Patrol Training Camp. We did all of the slides except Summit Plummet but my kids spent a lot of time here! Be sure to get there early. We did and got a great parking space which was great because our feet were tired by the end of the day. We stayed the whole day.... we did all the big slides etc first and then mostly Ski Patrol and lazy river, etc. The family raft ride is awesome! I also highly recommend getting the all day mug for $10 and sharing...a great deal! We also brought our own water but ate at Lottawatta Lodge. The food was good and priced like most other Disney parks. We had a ball!! My kids can't wait to go again! We also visited Typhoon Lagoon and it was also great but overall my dks (7 and 10) would choose BB over TL because they loved the Ski Patrol area. The shark reef at TL was our favorite! ::MinnieMo ::MickeyMo

Thank you so much for the information. We really are looking forward to it. My kids were glad to read your post and hear how much fun your family had. We will definetly take your advice!

I have been there several times (at different hours) and never had a problem finding a chair. Our usual routine is rent a locker, find chair, deposit items, enjoy day. Usually our day at BB is so relaxing that we never use the chairs, they are just there as a sort of home base....

And don't forget - if it gets too crowded, or you want a break from the slides, put your stuff in a locker, have your hand stamped, and walk next door to the Summer/Winterland Minigolf, and play a round or two. Then you can go back into BB until it closes.

Give your pruny toes a break!

Their ages will LOVE BB, especially the Ski Patrol Camp! That is where we camp. There is also lockers and a bathroom right there. I would get two seats there, then if you do want to relax alittle while they play in the Ski Patrol you have seating. If you decide you want some seating later, it will be too late so get them when you arrive.

You are also close to steps up or the ski lift up to the slides. After you secure a couple chairs, take the ski lift up and right in front of you will be the line to the family raft ride. It is a blast - great way to kick off the day !

PS We love to eat the kids meal - grilled cheese pretzel. Comes in a sand bucket with shovel. Great sandwich.........
