Saratoga is the summer place to be in upstate N.Y. But is going to be our new home in Orlando. It took about three years and a lot of research from helpful people like yourself but we finally did it. I called our DVC rep. this afternoon and gave our deposit on 255 pts. We should get the paperwork in a few days and then were in. We wanted SSR for numerous reasons. Mainly because our relatives lives in Saratoga Springs and we are only 15 minutes south. Thanks for all the help in making our decision.

Carl

p.s. now if I could only figure out how to put all those icons and count down clocks on my post.

Congratulations and "WELCOME HOME". I can't wait to see SSR models on my next trip and stay there on a future trip. It really looks classy.

Do you remember when Saratoga was "the August Place to Be"?

Sure do! Course us locals try to be somewhere else in August. Maybe that's why we spend time at WDW in August.

o.t.4disney! Welcome home.:bounce:

Congratulations !

I live in Schenectady ( Niskayuna to be exact )

I have never at all had any interest in the race track, so I have never been there. This Dec. will be my first time at BWV, one bedroom, but renting points for my solo trip.

I'm not actually a member of DVC ( Boo Hoo )

Oh my goodness!!!! How can you live close to Saratoga and NOT be interested in the track????
I lived in Ballston Spa for 3 years while DH was in the Navy. I have so many fond memories of that area. I remember one year it snowed 60 inches in JAN. The snow was packed so high. We lived in Northern Pines Trailer Park and we had so much shade that we had snow until April.
Anyway, good luck with ypir purchase and have fun planning your trips. The models of SSR are so beautiful.

Its really great to see so many members that live in up state N.Y. If your from the City anything north of Westchester County is upstate but I think Albany is where upstate starts. The North East is a great place to live in. There is so much to do. You have the Track, SPAC, Adironacks, Lake George, Lake Placid, Whiteface and much more. Great skiing and camping. When were not taking advantage of our back yard we would rather be in Disney:smooth: :smooth:

My family lives in Glens Falls, NY. Even though I live in NH, I still think of the Saratoga area as home. So when you talk about Saratoga I get home sick. So home sick, that I added on 100 points at Saratoga last month when I was at Disney! When I saw the model it was everything I thought it would be. . Classy and beautiful, just like Saratoga Springs!

Congratulations and Welcome Home :)

We used to live in Syracuse -- 1974 to 1982.
