This topic was taking over another thread but I thought it was definitely something to continue...
I don't get the notion out there that "you RV/camp because you can't afford a hotel." What a crock. For starts, RVs don't necessarily run cheap! And, for my family and I, its a matter of choice. I have 3 children 6 and under, and it's so much more enjoyable for us to camp. The kids settle very quickly because it's very familiar to them, its just the view out the window that changes! DH and I can sit outside whilst they sleep, and not in the dark corner whispering to each other trying not to wake them!
Interesting thought - according to The Unofficial Guide to WDW 2008 edition, the All Start Resorts and Pop Century Resorts Typical Room is 260 sq ft. My TT is 27 ft long by 8 ft wide = 216 sq ft. Plus the 17' awning space and the whole of outside, RVs win hands down
And its mine, with a kitchen, refrigerator, only needs packing once and best of all, I know who's slept on my bed
