So excited to go to the RV show today! We bought a new one at last year's show, but we just love shows! Anyone else addicted to RV shows like we are?

We went yesterday to the one in Birmingham, AL, this was our first one, it was nice seeing some ideas in the newer ones. I was hoping for more vendors, not just RV stores , as we are looking to get recliners in our 2011 fifth wheel, but only one store had a products set up and not just campers, Camping World and we go there all the time. But, it was cool checking out new models. Where is the RV show you are going to?

We live near Buffalo, NY. The RV show is at the Erie County Fair Grounds in Hamburg, NY.

After going almost yearly for many years we purchased our RV but my kids would only approve of the purchase if they never had to attend another show! It almost took a 12 step program to get me to stop :rotfl2:. I miss going because the shows are such a harbinger of spring. Enjoy your show!

The best part of this year's show was that I was able to say "I like ours better" as we looked at most of them! :)

I love RV shows...we are in market for first one and will probably buy "gently used":)

Last weekend went to the Tampa, FL rv show. According to reports so did a lot of other campers. The number was just shy of 57,000 people. Guess we are not alone enjoying the rv shows.

I had hoped to hit ours today. We have never been but DH had to work hours that just didn't work. Last year we started looking for campers the weekend of the RV show so also missed it.

Have to agree with you at all the RV shows there are very little accessories to buy. They are missing a huge market. We bought our recliners at Camper World, 2 for $199, regular price was $159 each. Love them.

That is a good point, they are missing a great market. I enjoyed it overall and would go again, but more likely go to the one in Atlanta or a larger market. That is an awesome price on recliners!

I am in the meca of RV's.

There is half a dozens places with in 20 minutes of my house.

There is a new Camping World being built along with 2-3 other accessory places.

I am not in the market yet but it sure is fun to look at whats out there.

We say almost the same thing, our line is We saw nothing we would give up what we have. Not that I am complaining but at the prices now there is not much we like better.

I went this past Sunday in Atlanta. I don't ever remember RV shows being as crowded as this one was. Every unit I went into had at least two families already in it looking around. And the salespeople were no where to be seen. Didn't see anything I liked enough to buy (we are in the market.)

I am still waiting for that perfect combination of a toyhauler with a high end residential feel that is under 15,000 GVW. I hear Keystone Mountaineer is coming out with an updated version of the 357THT this summer. Keeping my fingers crossed it will work out for us!

Gotta have something that can carry my own golf cart to the Fort!

My parents and I love going to the one in Hershey in September. We look around at the new models and decide that there are small things we like in the new ones, but mostly we still love the one we have. We also like looking at the vendors inside the arena. There is another smaller show in March at the York Fairgrounds, we sometimes go to that one, but it isn't a priority like the Hershey show.

Missed the local show here in January since I was at Disney. But I try to make the Hershey show every year. Just happen that last fall is when I ended up loving a new 5th wheel and striking a deal.

RV shows sure are fun but I try to stay away from them. New RVs have a way of following me home! :drive:

The Hershey show in Sept. is about the best one for this area, it is a factory sponsored show so sometimes the deals are better, but as anything else you need to do your homework BEFORE you go it is very easy to get caught up in the hype there.
It is also a confusing show, you need to know what you want to look at and stick to that, I would suggest a camera to take pictures of what you like to refer back to it later, it really helps, after a few hours you start to forget which one was which.
