I have talked DH into camping at Disney while we are on vacation in June. We "were" (and still may be) tent camping. For those of you who don't know about all the troubles I have had convincing DH that this is a good idea...well long story short he still isn't totally convinced. So while speaking to a friend about DH's problems, she suggested a pop up. Great idea...or so I thought. I don't really want to go out and buy one if it will never be used again, but I thought of renting one. I found some in Tampa but so far that is the closest one. An hour or so drive isn't going to thrill DH (AKA Grumpy...) Is there anywhere closer that would rent a pop up? I have searched for hours with no real outcome! I also drive a 2010 Toyota Rav4. Can it pull a small pop up? PLEASE HELP ME...;) The kids and I want to camp very, very badly so making this as painless as possible for DH would be a great way to start.

I suggest you rent from ********************. He has a pop-up and a 5th wheel he rents. He will bring the unit to your campsite, and completely set everything up. When you leave he'll come and take it all down. He even has the 'extras' you'll need to make your stay comfy:) He has a great reputation too!

If you're concerned about comfort; I'd go with a really large cabin tent (or two) and a screen house. That way you'll have plenty of space to move around and you can customize you living space exactly to your needs. You can decide which comfort items you and your family want and need the most. We use a 10 or 12 person tent for 3/4 people so we always have a separate living and sleeping space. The kids have their DVDs and games systems in the living area and we're not all on top of each other if it rains...We put the picnic table and kitchen items in the screen room (with lighting)- yet another living area. Once you have lots of space then you can decide what to put in it. I think of each member of the family seperately and plan to make everyone happy and comfortable. For instance, if keeping ice in a cooler is going to be annoying for hubby, you might want to spring for a mini-frig, etc. Planning is half the fun. Enjoy your stay.
