Hello, We are thinking about next summer stopping off at Disneyland but I've noticed they do not have a campground like at Disney world. I was hoping someone could recommend one that is close and nice. Does any of the RV parks offer deals/discounts? Thanks!:earboy2:

The kind of used to, about 25 years ago.

There is another place that is almost around the corner from one of those above.

If you are thinking that since WDW does, DLR should you may want to read the DLR guide for WDw vets.

We stayed at Anaheim RV Village about two years ago. It was a good park considering you are in the middle of town. The people that worked there were very nice. We are going to be staying there again in Sept. It is only about a 10 minute walk to the parks. They have a shuttle but we never used it.

However we did stay at the old Disneyland campground years ago and loved it. Wish it was still there.

We have stayed at Orangeland RV Park on Katella and have always had very nice stay. The park is very clean and the staff is friendly. It is more like a 10 minute drive to the parks.

I've stayed at a few on various trips.

The anaheim resort rv park was pretty nice but not the closest one. You have to take a shuttle or walk I think 1-1 1/2 miles. By the end of the night you will not walk to walk and waiting for a shuttle to come and go gets annoying.

This is the one we usually stay at. You can walk to and from the parks--it's about a 15 minute walk and a mile to the turnstiles. It's not the best RV park I've ever stayed in as far as looks, pool, etc, but it is the closest to disney.

There are a couple of parks that are further out but offer different extremes. One is called Newport Dunes. It is pretty high end with a lake, kayaking and is very close to the beach. The other is near Next to featherly park in Anaheim (could be Corona). It is more rustic and woodsy. They still have hookups. Both are 20 minutes or so away.

Sorry, don't have the links handy but a quick google search should do the trick.

We stayed here http://www.anaheimrvvillage.com/ in December. We moved to this park after staying one night across the street. This was a lovely, expensive :) park and the people who worked here were wonderful.

Across the street the people were rude, smoking in the check in room, and strange people walked through the rv park to get to the apartments behind there.

If you want close....stick with anaheim rv village.

Years ago there was a KOA where Mickey & Friends parking garage is now. Disney bought the KOA and improved it greatly. There was Disney themes, Disney movies in the club house, and all the benefits of staying onsite such as MM etc. It closed to make room for the garage.

All of the areas RV parks are decent but mostly just paved parking spots, a pool and club house. Nothing fancy. 5-10 miles away there are a few that are nicer, more trees etc. I believe the closest is just south of Ball on Harbor about 1/2 mile from DLR and has ART shuttles available.

I tent camp. We've stayed at both Anaheim RV Village and the Anaheim Harbor RV. I way preferred Anaheim RV as mentioned earlier. It's bigger and likely way easier to manover a big RV, cleaner, has a shuttle. You can watch the fireworks from both places and both pools. Last summer I watched the fireworks everynight from the pool and hot tub.
I didn't like the sites so close to the street at the other place and not being very secure.
