Rusty Scupper hit and run

1) Alas, not a Disney problem.

4) People view their ECV not as a transportation device, but view it as a bulldozer.
I completely agree TRS. As many people feel invincible driving their car, it seems many people in an ECV view it as their "Iron Man" suit. They may be feeble in an intimidating crowd situation, but sit in the wheeled wonder machine. Then they feel empowered and the "suit of steel" makes for a nice battering ram.

I hope the injuries aren't a prolonged issue

Almost wonder if it will get to a point that they will require those using scooters to have some sort of liability insurance, sign a waiver and or a I agree with the rules form, and display some sort of permit? Might open up a bigger can of worms though but would help people in identifying those who did it and maybe hold them responsible when they operate a scooter recklessly.

2) Disney was not driving the ECV, and it didn't even look like a Disney ECV.
3) Things are just getting too far out of control.

I do want to clarify that I didn't want to make it Disney's problems for your bills or anything like that but just to show what their lack of care over ECV safety has cost a long time guest.

1) YAHOOOOOOOOOOOOO !
2) Doc says the knee is "merely" hyperextended, and not a meniscus tear !
3) Somewhere about 2-4 weeks of exercises and it should FEEL good.
4) Now, if he could just make it LOOK good (ex-footballers don't have pretty knees).

NOTE: I guess it was all my fault. I should know better than to walk down Main Street with an ECV Bullseye-Target on my back. Next time, I will walk on the "sidewalk" area. Then, all I have to worry about are running little tykes. And, I AM BIGGER THAN THEY ARE, so they probably won't knock me over.

Don't entirely agree, for the same reasons as "Selfie Sticks". They banned them because of safety issues. This too is a safety issue.

And you don't see Disney selling/renting Selfie sticks either.

3) Things are just getting too far out of control.
And this is why it should be a big concern for Disney.

This is the saddest part of all. People have no courtesy for others. I know we are all excited about being at Disney and none of us want to wait in line or wade through the crowds, but it is what it is. Even myself (as I am sure many others have), I have gotten excited or anxious to get to a ride or an attraction (or whatever) and have bumped someone or knocked something out of their hands (or something similar), but I will at least take the time to stop and apologize and try to make it right. I have had people run into me and then look at me as though it was my fault.

All that being said, I hope you are all right and will get better soon Rusty. I am not trying to blame Disney for this incident nor do I think you should file a suit against them, I just wish people (everyone) would have more courtesy and definitely more patience (my self included.)

1) No, I would not.
2) I am not even seeing a "comp" of any kind.
3) Stuff happens.
4) Of course, if they REALLY feel sorry and offered a Mercedes SL-anything, I might be inclined to acquiesce to their request.

Get well soon, man. :crutches:

Glad you're on the mend and it is not as serious as it could be.

In case you are interested, it appears the perpetrator has been apprehended.

Haven't been on here for a while, so I didn't hear about your accident... glad to hear you got good news from the doctor. Hope you are feeling better soon!!!

I should have been run over by a reindeer . . . and not an older woman on a scooter.
The lady who wrote that song lives here in my town. Want me to give her a call and have her finish you off?? The last thing you saw would be a the reindeer-drawn sleigh on her spare tire cover...
