Running paths

My daughter is a runner. She does 3-12 miles a day.
We are staying at Coronado Springs. Are there places for her to run?

Pretty sure she can run right around the lagoon/lake that's in the middle of the buildings, I think we saw people jogging in the morning when we stayed there a couple of years ago.

That's a lot of miles!

Running paths near Coronado Springs don't really exist. The roads along there don't have sidewalks for any appreciable distance and I wouldn't chance running on the roadways. So, it sounds like several loops around the parking lot will be the only answer. You may want to ask at the front desk if they have a runners map.

Yep, she can just run around the lake. It's a nice paved path with great scenery. The only downside is that it's a super short loop (for a runner) so she'd have to run around it many times...as a very casual runner myself (2-3mi runs anywhere from 2-4 days per week in between other workouts), I'd hate going around a loop over and over but it still beats running on a treadmill! :) If for whatever reason she decides to run at night, the loop around the lake is lit but not well-lit.

This!
I run anywhere from 3-6 miles every other day, and I have run the loop around CSR. Nice scenery as mentioned, but relatively short laps. Just like LJSquishy, I'll take laps over a treadmill any day.

My kids were runners too, and DS is a distance coach who takes kids there each year so get your issue.

Running on Disney property - not on paved walkways - really is not allowed and if she is seen by security she could be picked up.

The PLUS for CSR is that there is a sidewalk across the street that goes all the way to Blizzard Beach and then on down to the McDonalds. I would not suggest her going all the way because it involves crossing exit ramps and tourists driving.....but a few back and forth and adding the hotel path can work.

Have her create a run that will fulfill her needs by your resort using http://www.mapmyrun.com/

This site has some different places she can go to run on property. http://runningatdisney.com/disney-running-trails/coronado-springs-resort/

CSR does have a Fitness Center.
