We are going to be staying at the Park Vue. Is there anywhere that I can safely run in the area? I most likely will want to get it done before park opening, and I'll be running alone. I'm looking to get 5-6 miles in most days, but I don't mind repeating a shorter route. How about if I run afternoon/evening? Is it too crowded to run?

Thanks!

Walking 6~7 miles a day has always been enough for me :teeth: but if set on running you might check out the resort area on Google earth. I think you could find a great route around the perimeter of the resort area.

The easiest loop is the one around the perimeter of the resort - Harbor/Ball/Walnut/Katella. Pretty much all flat apart from the rise over the 5 freeway, and not many cross roads.

One time I did venture north east of the resort and decided mud run it perhaps wasn't the best idea. No idea if it was a safe area or not, didn't see anything or anyone unsavoury, but did feel uncomfortable.

Thanks for your help! I don't mind hills, but flat is fine with me, too. I do care about staying safe, so I'm glad to hear that they loop around the resort seems safe. If it's about 3 miles as mentioned in the link above, I'll just run it twice. Perfect!

My daughter runs a couple of various routes, all have been safe in the early hours. One of her favs would be from your hotel down Harbor to Convention Way, down convention way to Disneyland Dr. North on Disneyland Dr to Ball, Ball to Harbor and back to your hotel. If I am not mistaken, that is about 3.5 miles. The loop around the resort is 2.8 miles. You can also make it 3.5 by turning left on Magic Way, to Clementine (right) to Katella and continue the loop.

Perfect! Thank you!

I concur with the other posters. The resort area and surrounding neighborhoods are safe. Last time I was there, I ran from our vacation rental off of Cerritos, then around the perimeter of DLR (Walnut to Katella to Harbor to Ball) which was about 5 miles.
