So...why is it whenever Disney does something that *someone* takes issue with, it's always because Disney's just a greedy, no-good, how-can-we-get-more-money-out-this evil-doer?
What if sometimes it's just a matter of someone calling in sick that day and they couldn't get someone another castmember to cover their spot at the loading area?
Because that would account for one day here and there, not an ongoing pattern. My first thought, when reading these reports, was to give them the benefit of the doubt - it makes sense that post-Irma crowds are higher than expected, because of all the rescheduled trips, and it might be hard to pull extra cast in at the last minute with so much of FL still dealing with the aftermath of the storm. But when I read people saying the same things about August and the first half of Sept... It is hard to reach any conclusion other than that Disney has decided the wait times that the lower capacity is creating are an acceptable trade-off for reducing labor costs.
And the flip side of this is that no matter what is posted, even when it is very clearly just a cutback, there will always be those on the boards who excuse it as being about something else (usually poor guest behavior) and deny that any cutback could possibly be to increase profits by diminishing the guest experience.
