Runners?

Shockingly, for me, it is Brooks. I tried them because Road Runner Sports said I should. I protested and tried them and absolutely loved them.

My DH who is truly a runner and runs a lot for years and years has tried a little bit of everything. I think he has adidas right now.

Mizuno Wave Inspire 5, though I have tried three or four companies and probably a dozen different shoes over the past few years. I suspect you'd get more answers over in the W.I.S.H. section though.

Love my Mizuno's as well - Road Runner suggested them, and I've been wearing this brand for over 2 years now.

Right now I'm on my 2nd pair of Asics Kayano's this year. I've had some Asics that I've loved, some I've hated. I've had a pair of Saucony's that I liked pretty well. Can't run in Nike's. I just wear those for "fashion purposes":rotfl:. The trick is to find the right shoe for you---road runner sports has a good trick for this--it involves getting a brown paper bag, getting your foot wet, and stepping on the bag. It will let you know what kind of arch you have, thus what kind of shoe you need--I think they are categorized as neutral, stability, and cushioned. Road Runner Sports is a great resource.

Good luck!

New Balance -- and ONLY New Balance!

Many marathons, triathlons and beyond under my belt (including several Disney races!), and all on New Balance sneaks.

:sunny:

My son is a distance runner and will only wear Asics. He swears by them.

My DH (a runner for over 30 years) regularly uses 2 pairs of shoes, switching off each day. He says this helps him to prevent injuries because the anomalies of each shoe are lessened. Anyway, he wears Asics Foundations and New Balance 700 series. Both shoes come in 4E and tend to last for a good long time. DH runs at least 50% of his mileage (45-50 miles a week) on grass or trails, so shoes tend to last a bit longer. He races in the Asics 2100 series, which also come in a 4E.

Brooks Glycerin. DH wears adidas. DD wears Asics. You have to figure out what works for you! Find a good running store and they'll help you out.

I go to Aardvark on Main Street in Bethlehem. I prefer them over The Finish Line in Emmaus. The clerks at Aardvark seem more knowledgeable.

Brooks Adrenaline :)

I buy those for my dad, too! I put in a gel insole and they are so comfortable! :)

I'm on my 3rd pair of these. Love them.

I run in Brooks Adrenaline, but I love the look of the Mizuno running shoes! Unfortunately, Mizuno's don't fit me quite right, and don't seem to have enough cushioning for me. To really get the best shoe for you, go to a running specialty store and they will guide you to the right shoe. Keep in mind, it won't always be the shoe that you like the appearance of!

I have Brooks Switch 2 and I love them.. I know this is shameful to admit.. but I've been running since middle school (not fast at all!) and I usually just buy whats comfy and on sale.. I might stick with Brooks after this though
