Runaway Bay or Summer Bay

Has anyone stayed at either the Runaway Bay at Calypso Cay, or Summer Bay Resort? Thanks.

We stayed at the villas at summer bay resort Feb29-Mar7,2004 and it was excellent. I got it through skyauction for $261!

We stayed in the building right beside the kids activity pool. My four children had a ball in it. It wasn`t crowded at all. They also have three other pools. The second pool was right across the parking lot from us. It has the big mushroom at one end and goes down to 3 1/2 feet i think,there was also a hot tub over there.

They did ask when i checked in if i would like to do the tour but i said i had to talk to my husband first. They then called two days later and asked if we had decided and i told them no and that was it.

It`s not far from disney at all and there`s lots of stuff close by. You can literaly walk to the publix that`s next door to it.

Hi, we stayed at Summer Bay last week. Resort was terrific, units were great we were the first to stay in a brand new 2 bedroom unit. The only downfall was the distance to Disney etc. It was March break and the US 192 was crazy with traffic took us about 1 and 1/2 hours to go around six miles. If you go at a time when Disney is not busy should be OK. We also stayed at the Amerisuites at Calypso Cay after Summer Bay the pool area is great , great entertainment, heated etc. I do not know what the Runaway bay units are like, but there were lots touring them.
We did the tour at SUmmer bay for 2 disney tickets for $50.00 took about 90 minutes, but we got to see the pool homes, very nice. I would stay at SUmmer bay again but only during non peak times, but I would stay at anytime again at Calypso Cay as the locations to Disney, US 192 and International Drive is too easy.
