RUN! Southwest dropped prices out of New England!

I do wonder if they'll go down further but I was too nervous they'd go up to gamble anymore. At least it's done! :goodvibes
This is the way I felt, and just decided to suck it up and book. Usually I fly out of PVD, but MHT had the flight times I wanted for $109 each way in August.
:confused3

No parking at ISP. Don't want to deal with JFK or LGA and their parking per day is just out-of-sight. CT limo for 4 is over $200. Parking at BDL under $10/day and car is safe, people are friendly, and just the overall feeling at BDL is a positive one--it just flows.

We flew out of ISP two years ago because it was almost $1000 cheaper than flying out of pvd or bdl. We loved the long term parking. I forgot DD's booster seat in the car when DH dropped us off at the curb. I was doing curbside checkin and told them I didn't have the seat and we'd have to wait for DH. They said "Is that him coming now?" because he had already parked the car and was walking across the lot toward us. Everything is so close and it's such a nice, small, friendly airport.

We're flying out of pvd this time because the prices were good and it's a more convenient airport- don't have to take the ferry but we'd definitely fly out of isp again if the price made it worth it.

Glad to hear you had a good experience at ISP. Sounds like you took the ferry. Was that from New London or PJ? We would travel from the New Haven area, so I'm not so sure what the distance or traveling time would be by car as I did not research it further. Did however check to see if they have a Park, Sleep, Fly at some of the local hotels nearby. They said they do not, but parking the car in their unattended lot might work. I'm not familiar with the area, so I'm not sure if it would work for us. Also, we have a van with a luggage box up top, so I'm not sure if the Long Term Lot could handle our vehicle.

$1,000 savings might be a great motivator for us as well--Congrats on your super deal!!:goodvibes:goodvibes

We drove to Bridgeport and took the Port Jefferson Ferry. We had a reservation but actually made it there in time for the earlier ferry and they let us on. It was a great experience flying out of there and we would definitely do it again. We flew down on a Friday afternoon and stayed at a hotel near MCO. Then we checked into our timeshare on Saturday. It worked out great!

The long term lot wasn't covered so the van luggage box shouldn't matter.
