RUN don't walk away form MK evening EMH!!!!

I agree that MK and Epcot have been mobbed on EMH. This week they are trying a night where both parks are open on the same night, we will see if that helps split the crowds.

I know E-Nights limited the tickets and the cost prevented some from doing it, but I think other factors are affecting crowds. A main one is all Disney resorts are running almost 100% occupancy. That was not the case during the time E-Rides were offered.

More people are aware of EMH. It is highly advertised. More attractions are open attracting a wider range of guests. E-Ride did not appeal to families with very young children. More places to eat are open.

The heat has been horrible in July, so many are just not going to the parks except during EMH.
I think everyone understands "why" the EMH have been so crowded..... but that doesn't make it easier to deal with.
It is nice to see they added Epcot to the same night as MK.....just can't help but wonder what kind of craziness there will be on the monorail going back and forth.

But I have to disagree with "...... all Disney resorts are running almost 100% occupancy. That was not the case during the time E-Rides were offered."
Over the years when we have gone to E-tickets....one of the reasons they did E-ticket nights is because they were running close to 100%. And they did a lot of these during peak summer season. I just think most families are not willing to pay the extra $12 for it......that was what made it worth it to us! :goodvibes If they changed EMH right now and charged for it......NO WAY would it be as crowded. It would be more crowded now than in previous years because more people know about it......that I agree with...... most WDW guests were never aware of E-nights until they arrived at the resort....and by that time....their plans were already made.
So the advertising has a lot to do with it too.

wait I have a question lol, so if we decided to go to say Magic Kingdom late into the EMH Night would we be assured a wristband to get in or do they have a limited number of bands to hand out? :confused3 We've been thinking about skipping them all together because of what I've read on here, but maybe if we went late to try it just for one night if we could it wouldn't be too bad. But I just want to know if we'd be able to get in still......

OK...so you guys recommend hitting a park the morning after the evening EMH. That I understand (makes perfect sense).

Do you consider the morning EMH at all?

And what about the old rules of certain days? Like the EMH evening seems to be MK on Fridays....it used to be advised to avoid MK on Saturday.....so what now? :confused3 Just when I figured out the old system they change it on me!!!
