Hi - I am not sure where to post this...so please move if there is a more appropriate place :)

I am running the Wine and Dine 1/2 marathon in November (my 3rd time), I purchased the discounted tickets for race participants...

I am wondering if the Princess 1/2 or Marathon weekend ever offer discounted theme park tickets...

The past 3 years I was a passholder, but not this year so I am eager to take advantage of the race participant ticket discounts...
Thanks.

I've seem them offered for all WDW runDisney events except Marathon Weekend in January.

Be aware that any of the Run Disney tickets are deeply discounted and cannot be upgraded or modified in any way.

Just doing a standard 4 day park hopper but thinking of a b-day trip for may DD around Princess marathon weekend...and if tickets are offered, it might be incentive to run the race...

Always important to point that out, even though it says it on the site multiple times before you purchase the tickets, the booth where you pick up the tickets and on the tickets; there are always posts from people who are upset that they couldn't upgrade their tickets.

You won't get the promo code to purchase discounted tickets until you receive your registration confirmation. But you can ask other runners who have registered if there are discount tickets offered. Might also say on the runDisney site as well, as a perk of registering.

The Princess is a fun weekend, especially if you are celebrating a birthday or a girl's only trip.

I don't think they are offering discount tickets for the Princess weekend this year : ( The Princess thread on the WISH boards indicated run disney is discontinuing RunDisney park tickets in 2014.

Do ALL of the races get you discounted tickets (ie. Kids Races) or just entry into the "headliner" (ie. tower of terror 10 miler)??

I'm not sure about Kids' Races, but I know you can get discount tickets for all events 5K or longer. Obviously if they discontinue discount tickets, this is a moot point.

When runDisney discounted tickets are offered, how many days can you purchase? For instance, do they offer discount on 1 day - 10 day passes or only 2 or 3 day passes?

The tickets I have seen are 2-7 days. They can be purchased with the Park Hopper option or without as well as the Water Park Fun & More option. But once you purchase them, they are not changeable as they are special event tickets, as stated multiple times on the ticket store site.

Awesome, thanks!

Does anyone have the Wine and Dine code? I registered with a travel agent so my registration didn't have the code to buy tickets.

I believe the code varies from person to person- I registered myself for the race and then had to give my registration confirmation code to my TA to get the discounted room and park tickets. But be forewarned: I'm running wine and dine in 29 days and my park tickets have not yet been linked to my package on mydisneyexperience.com so I haven't been able to access FP+. One CM I talked to says that I won't get my runDisney park passes until I check into the hotel, at which point a CM will help me do FP+.

Which reminds me, I was going to try to call runDisney today and see if that was in fact true. Seems awkward with the new system, but since the system IS so new, maybe they just haven't had a chance to change "the way we do things" yet.

My dh ran the tot 10 miler last week and we had the discounted tickets through run Disney. We got them at check in and went to the concierge desk and they added the tickets to my account. I was able to make and use fast pass plus selections and use the tickets in paper fast pass machines.

are the run disney discount tickets also offered to the family/travel group of the runner? is it a good discount? :) that would be great to encourage more visitors to disney, and more business.
