SO WEDNESDAY IS THE NEW FRIDAY FOR THE DISNEY ANNOUNCEMENTS ..........

The ONLY bright side I can think of for those of us with early to mid May trips is that if we were traveling in June we would miss the Flower and Garden (and food!) festival

Oh so much yes to this!!! Somehow in this ROL madness I had completely forgotten how stoked I had been when I heard F&G had been extended so we could see it. Then I saw the food menus and was in heaven. How could I have forgotten all about that.... *sigh*

- Mickey's Royal Friendship Faire will open in June. Some good characters including Olaf.
- Toy Story Mania will open 3rd track Memorial Day weekend.
- May brings a huge section of Disney Springs opening.
- Tiffins will open in Memorial Day weekend, info on reservations May 20th.
- Soarin' Around the World begins June 17.
- Toy Story Land Coaster has artist video, looks boring, hope they jazz it up
- Toy Story will have some kind of Alien Swirling Saucers, effects, spinning ....
- Princess Elena, Latin inspired, will meet in MK beginning in August.
- Frozen Ever After will open in June, wording implies the sisters will open then too. Who knows.
- We all know Jungle Book starts SOMETIME MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND, but the brass and the blogs are telling two tales.
- Animal Kingdom Nights start Memorial Day weekend.
- New SW fireworks start in June.
- Finding Dory characters join Turtle Talk in May.

The ROL pin spent some time walking about Animal Kingdom on Monday. I'm saving the shirts for Friday! While we weren't asked by a cast member to, "follow me", I was randomly selected, so I got that going for me. I took lots if pictures of the seating area, so I will try to figure out how to upload - haven't uploaded to the boards before. SDFP via phone still seem glitchy at times, but I've successfully done it several times at this point! At AKL, giraffes say hi!

I want Froway on 6/1. But yay to AK night & Junglebook show for our 6/1 evening! I'll (hopefully) get to see RoL for the first time with DH in September. Please.

I just can't decide what to do! I really don't want to do AK with AM EMH that day because we have a late night at MK the night before. The evening after AK was also our only DS time and my cousins were looking forward to taking the boat from POFQ. I may just forget about it this trip as much as I hate to say that.

I can totally relate. I have so many ADRs that I will need to cancel once all our plans get finalized, but want to make sure all my bases are covered since it seems my plans change everyday. I'm sad that we'll miss Soarin' and FEA, but that's one less thing I need to stress about fitting in. This will be our first time to Universal, but I'm looking forward to Express Passes and no dining reservations for a couple of days.

I am so happy we decided to do this trip on the "cheap" to do both parks, so no dining reservations at all (except BOG lunch). We are on QS dining plan (my aunt really wanted to prepay their food). That is one less thing I have to worry about, even though I may be sick of QS by the end of the week. I was going to splurge on a ROL dining package though if those had been available. I think I'm going to wait until a specific date is announced before I change my fast passes around. Maybe they will start it Friday and our extra MK evening after TL can become an extra AK evening. That would be ideal!
