Rumors of Light (ROL discussion thread)

I found out Texas state law says they have to give us a comparable car so I called and they switched it with no issues. Really thinking about switching my insurance to State Farm after they've treated us so good.

Are you having to pay 20% on an accident that wasn't your fault?
Actually I was found to be at fault in the accident even though we both ran the light. I was sitting in the middle of the intersection to turn left and the light started to turn. One of the oncoming cars stopped so I went but the other oncoming car that I thought would stop, didn't. He was looking at the light, not me. And he gunned it to make the light but I'm fairly certain it was red. However, because I wasn't sure it was red, the police went with it being yellow and I got the ticket for basically not yielding right-of-way. Expensive mistake but it happens. I learned a lesson though! :)

Statefarm is great for Auto. They're one of the carriers I don't work with as an independent agent, and none of my carriers can get even close to their auto rates 80% if the time.

Thank you, I will keep thinking positive and hope for the best. I know renting one isnt hard....it's using one that I'm having trouble reconciling. I just want the best trip ever with my boys. It's their 21st birthday just a month before our trip and we have so many wonderful plans.

I've missed pages and pages due to Board service and a hospital stay -- don't ask!! :( BUT...

We leave tomorrow for WDW, and look what JUST arrived in the mail!! :cool1:

Hope you both (well, MMM's husband!) are feeling better and have a wonderful trip!!

I have to say, while I completely agree that Disney is motivated by $$$ at all times, I do not think this is the reason. If they were concerned about covering their costs for the show during a non-peak season they would never have scheduled it to start in April in the first place. Disney would have been well aware of this before making that official announcement. I do think they are having technical difficulties, and don't want to tarnish their reputation by premiering a show that is less than perfect. Unfortunately the backlash for the absurd lack of information that they put out to guests who have planned expensive vacations around this opening, is bound to cost them $$$ sooner or later.

I wonder if because they had to delay for technical reasons if they are now pushing the date back to when it is more financially beneficial for them. Like the show could be ready to go anytime, but they are going to wait until close to summer season to open it regardless.

Hope you are recovered by then. You will have a great time no matter how you have to get around.
