OK, enough fine tuning and tinkering - the schedule is set (for now).
I'm pretty happy with the fact that all Dining is new for DW and only Tusker House is a repeat for me (but only for Breakfast).
No Park Hopping this time, so hopefully that means no 10 miles a day pace...

4/22 Fly in late at night, cheap hotel near airport
4/23 HS - Club Villain at 9pm (our Anniversary)
4/24 MK - the Wave
4/25 EPCOT - Tutto Italia
4/26 AK - Tusker House (dinner)
4/27 MK - Whispering Canyon
4/28 EPCOT - California Grill @9:30
4/29 HS - Shutters at Old Port Royale
4/30 MK and fly home
I'll keep an eye out for some awesome people wearing the pins and shirts.

Anyone know how bad the groups of cheerleaders get? Someone on the April 2016 Disboards FB group said they get bad. Plus Spring Breakers still around. I am getting really nervous :worried:

We were down the same time in 2012, we saw the Cheerleaders here and there. It wasn't bad then. They took over T-Rex restaurant for lunch the day we were there lol. My concern is where are they all staying? We are down there the same week this year.

we saw tons of cheerleaders last May. I had heard horror stories all over the boards, and I was a bit concerned, but it really wasn't a big deal. There were lots of groups (maybe up to 12 people in a group) through the parks, but other than being a bit brighter and flashier, it didn't affect our trip. we were staying at CSR, and I think it was a kind of overflow hotel--saw some cheerleaders but not many really. it might be different at the main hotels, but I don't think it'll be as bad as the horror stories.

I think you're talking about the Summit Cheer Championship, I've got friends whose daughters are competing. They will be there April 28 through May 1st I believe. One friend in particular asked my advice on where to stay, said her choices were All Stars, Pop, and CBR. She and her daughter decided to stay at CBR.

Question: since I may have missed this somehow, DH mentioned he read something on zoo topic characters meeting in Disney. Anyone hear about this? If so, can you point me in the direction of more info? TIA

I stayed at All Star Movies a few years back and the cheerleaders were there. They were fine. Sometimes in the morning there would be large groups practicing their routines on the grassy areas and they were a bit loud...but we were up early anyhow, so it didn't bother us. It was fun to watch them practice. They are quite good. I found them pleasant and respectful.

They're in the Dance Party at MK, but I haven't heard anything about a M&G

That's good to hear. We'll be at Pop so I am sure they will be there with us. Hopefully the buses won't be too overcrowded.

My daughter's best friend from preschool and her mom both have annual passes to WDW, so we have planned a surprise trip for the four of us! We're now going for two nights and staying at All Star Movies, 5/30 - 6/1! Haven't decided a plan for our afternoon/evening on 5/30 yet, either MK or HS, full-day at MK on 5/31 with dinner at 1900 PF, and then Epcot morning with a Garden Grill breakfast and Coral Reef lunch, hop to AK until close & Flame Tree dinner and then drive home. Crossing fingers that at least RoL OR FEA are open by then! :wizard: We were going to purchase EMM 5/31 if it had characters but alas, monies saved.

And right about now, three weeks from today, we will be enjoying a campfire singalong with Chip 'n' Dale at Ft Wilderness!!! :cheer2:
