Rumors of Light (ROL discussion thread)

So I've only been around these boards for about a year.

What other, if any, 300 page threads have there been?

I called this evening to book a different experience, but figured I might as well ask about RoL while I was on the line. The CM I spoke to said, of course, nothing available yet and no word on when it would be. She said that it is the opening of the new restaurant that is delaying their release and that they were looking to have them in 2 restaurants and might end up going with Yak and Yeti along with Tusker House initially because of the delay on Tiffins. She said that RoL was still on track for opening next month, but that we would likely be some of the first people to get to experience it with a dining package based on our trip time (early June), as she does not believe they will be opened up for a while. Who knows on the accuracy of the info, but thought I'd pass it along!

Thanks for asking...could well be true with all we've heard about the delay of Tiffins.

I was running errands and thought I missed something.. just a bunch of hootenanny (almost used that word in real life today, oops) - but I will add, we love Via Napoli (service there is consistently pretty slow, although I think that's just the Italian culture, a slow relaxed meal). Teppan Edo was good but we have really good Asian/hibachi around here so it was kind of a one and done for us. Trying Le Cellier and Biergarten next trip. I'm not crazy on German food, although I am pretty much all German, but my fiance really wanted to try it. I plan to imbibe in a big ol Grapefruit beer with a plateful of pretzel bread and strudel.

In the oldER days----- Brazilian tour groups !! They were always huge--- then again, once they reached around 100 pages, chanting would start, and the thread would close --

I spoke to a CM at DVC Member Services yesterday about my October reservation and asked if there was any word about RoL opening, etc. He did say it is still scheduled for opening on April 22. No word, though, on FPs or dining packages. He did mention, under his breath, that there had been some snafus when I said I was waiting to book a package or FPs for viewing during my April trip.

Yes !! The new Disney money --- you can buy in all denominations up to $50 bill --- you just have to multiply the denomination by 5 to purchase
