Rumors of Light (ROL discussion thread)

Some small businesses might close, and most public schools will be closed, but government offices and most businesses will generally be open for their normal business hours since neither day is considered a federal holiday. Those are listed here: https://www.opm.gov/policy-data-oversight/snow-dismissal-procedures/federal-holidays/#url=2016

Sorry to hear that they made that mistake and are being non-responsive. I hope you hear back from them soon!
I teach public school (in GA) and we are not closed. My son's church preschool is.

I am starting to worry a bit. The only reason at this point they haven't announced has to be due to them thinking they won't be ready. I'm starting to think the April 22 is not going to happen.

So enter with the prepark breakfast crowd. So on those days there will be no advantage to 7DMT for those folks. I hope this is limited like the after hours one, and I hope it's a flop. That's a huge charge for three rides.

Interesting. Did you notice the "Purchase Tickets Online or BUY phone". Freudian slip?? Lol

Quicky question for the Americans - is tomorrow a holiday in the US or not? Just wondering if businesses (in Florida) would be open or not. Just wondering if I can expect to hear back from a certain vendor tomorrow or if I need to wait till next week. Oh, yeah, right, is Monday a holiday in the US or not? This is so aggrevating right now.... minus $500 on my CC because this stupid business double charged me for a reservation that wasn't supposed to be charged until May.
My company, a small business, is closed. While not a federal holiday, so DH works, it can be of the business wants.

Arey they serious???????? So it's not like you just JUST do early mornings like you can do after hours? Wow. Now I am really thinking that pre-park ADRs at BOG will NOT get into any attraction any faster any longer!

So the early morning thing - is that just access to the park? I guess that will nullify my pre park ADR. If they designate the 5th of May there it goes. They already have the late night thing for the 5th. Disney is really starting to turn me off. $$$$$$$ not Magic.

It's early access to three rides plus breakfast. Personally, I have FPs for two of the three included rides, and I have a CP ADR but I will be able to get the TiW discount on that, so this price isn't worth it for me.

I guess the positive about this early morning thing is that the money I will save in September by not staying onsite will help pay for the tickets, lol. Other than the parking (and I can book a throwaway room for that) there's no perk to staying onsite. I've been wanting to go back to my timeshare anyway, and this is the incentive to do it.

Honestly the early morning thing doesn't bother me in the least. I may get flamed for saying this but I think sharing one meal among 4 adults for $24 at BOG, and then dashing to get on to 7DMT, is wrong. This could be Disney's answer to all of this. You want to get on 7DMT 2 times before the rest of the crowds arrive? Fine, you'll pay for it.
