Rumors of Light (ROL discussion thread)

I'd prefer the 15th only bc I will already be up early for work, as tomorrow is a sleep in day - well as much as my two under 5 let me. With that being said, if it is tomorrow, at least we will all know the details and some can get things booked and we can go on with our lives (or get obsessed about something else Disney related...lol). This is ruining my life! Well, not really, but you know what I mean...haha.
It would be ruining my life if I didn't have a thread full of like-minded people to make me feel better about myself. :rotfl:

I really want to go to one of these previews for rivers of light. Here's the deal- our vacation dates are the 14-21st. No good since ROL premieres on the 22nd. Needless to say I'll do just about *anything* to see one of these preview shows.

WHERE can I book a preview ticket? On disneyworld.com? On the my disney experience app? Over the phone? Where would something like that even appear? I want to be ready at a moment's notice

As far as I've heard, all of these above should potentially be places to book. As long as by disneyworld.com you mean mydisneyexperience.com -- but online may (or may not) have availability before phone reservation, depending on if the phone lines are open when it becomes available.

Hahahahahaa...
Sorry, I think I'm laughing at the uncertainty of it all.

That is the 2nd most unknown thing, right after when.
My advice, check the website and be ready to call on the phone.
I'm going to watch here to know as I think it will be updated as soon as someone knows something

Ok, it's 6:33 here. I just woke up and see I didn't miss it. I'm terribly sick with a chest cold. Cough cough cough. I hope March 15 is right. I hope it's released at midnight and not 6:00 am. I way to sick to get up in the middle of the night. Maybe I'll be better by the 15th.
Oh no! Hope you feel better!

Maybe we can design a Rivers of Light Thread shirt.
LOL! Oh my gosh this is hilarious. We totally need roll call once previews and dining/FP+ are booked. Hopefully we'll all be crying in happiness while we watch the show, knowing how much we went through to get there.

This thread/the continuous cat and mouse game has made me even more hyped up for it. It has become a mission. "They" are probably watching and know this.

Yes it will have FP
I find it hilarious that you're lurking. Gotta know, do you think we're crazy or terrifying?

When this is over i think I'm going to sleep for a week. It's extremely stressful for those whose trips are within a couple of months. I hVe everything finalized for my trip except I have 2 identical days I can flip flop between AK and Epcot. I want the ADRs and fps done!

No. I just like getting the correct info out there. I do think it's a little crazy to be so worried about an ADR though. But that's just me.

I too am in the preview party boat. But normally I don't really stress over ADRs too much and I don't know that I've ever planned a trip more than 3-4 months out, however I have a feeling this trip will be the last one for two or more years, so I'd be sad to just miss it! Maybe if I lived closer...

We're not all worried about the adrs, alot of us want the preview parties. Which from the sounds of it should sell out very quickly.

Yes, I know it's my issue. I leave on 4/19 so we won't be there for the premier. While I'll be back my Mom won't. If there is any way on earth I can get us a spot at any of the Preview events I want to do it. So much that I'll get up at 6 AM on Saturday just in case

It is crazy. ;) I'm not too worried. It's sorta fun.... :duck: but if we don't get it I'll accept it.

We'll have plenty to do without the ADR, but I'm still going to try because:

None of us have ever been to AK.
My MIL/FIL won't go back for a couple of years.
My DH has zero interest in Disney, but I showed him a little information on ROL and he actually said he would really like to see the show. AK is the only park he has interest in, and *maybe* Epcot, so it'd be awesome to have something planned with him in mind that he has shown interest in! He just wants us to do our usual cabins-in-the-woods vacation.

He is excited about Pandora, though! I may not be able to get him to willingly go to Disney again until it opens--unless, as I'm hoping will happen, he gets hooked after this vacation!

....Or that's my excuse.

you changed your pic :)

If I may deviate from Disney momentarily and use a SpongeBob reference, I'd say rteetz's thread is more like the Salty Spitoon, while we're all hanging out here at the Weenie Hut Jr. :rotfl:
The one that's located underwater, with the magical, memorable light-up sign.
