Rumors of Light (ROL discussion thread)

I need a quick run down of how these Dinner Packages work. I thought there was a certain charge to them but I just did a "mock" reservation and I may have been totatally wrong.
It looks like this simply gives you a reservation and then guarantees VIP seating at the show. No up front charge, only charge is what you eat at the restraunt? This is simply a reservation
tot the restrauant that comes with VIP seating but no addtional charge.....correct? Or am I all wrong. I know I can dig for the info but since everyone is here with nothing else to do but hit refresh I thought
it would help someone pass the time. LOL!!!

You are right.
You pay an upcharge for the meal to get the VIP seat pass.
At H&V the buffet costs more
At BD you have a set menu you order from (though it's really not different, just includes entree/drink/dessert) for a fixed price.

ETA - Folks are working off an assumption that the RoL dining packages will operate in the same manner as the F! packages. No reason to assume otherwise but wanted to point it that it could be different when it is all released. But I doubt it.
Especially since at HS you have a buffet and a Signature and at AK there will be a buffet and a signature also. And maybe a QS too, which I suspect will be like BD where it will be a fixed menu option with an upcharge. And maybe even "lesser" seats. That's what DL does with Aladdin Oasis and F! seats. Theirs are not as good as the seats for those that dine at Blue Bayou

I just read yesterday that construction is behind at the Frozen ride and they may be pushing that back until the fall.... It was on David's DVC Rentals facebook page....

If you go look at the post again, they just said it may open a little later than May. The only mention of any fall date is when they referenced the fire that happened in September of 2015.

Am I the only one who has no interest in the Frozen ride?
My kids (DD9, DS11) are still bitter that it's in the place of Maelstrom! That said... since it's at Disney, and it's new, we'll definitely ride! And we all loved the movie... DD is just already acting like that was when she was "just a little kid"... she's SO MATURE now, at the ripe old age of 9!

That's funny! I'm sure we'll ride too, but I can wait a bit if need be. ;)

Nope....I liked the movie, but am SO over all the hype.

My DD1 who almost three, hasn't shown too much interest in it.... Maybe we'll get lucky and she won't be into them. Right now it's still Minnie Mouse!

I have an interest in all rides. I don't have to like the movie to want to try the ride.
This is how I feel about all of the Avatar stuff. That movie was not my cup of tea for many reasons. But I'm REALLY looking forward to that whole land and the rides -- what Disney does with it is bound to be cool!

After staying up until 2:30am last night, am (sarcastically) loving seeing all the developments posted this morning. At least the company is entertaining. I've been sitting here laughing out loud as I wade through the pages. Guess I'll be up on the night shift again tonight just in case.
