Is there even an option right now ??

You can go to MK for $125 a day, but if you want to see "Wishes", you might have to pay an extra $150 because it starts after 7Pm--- ( and don't even think of getting a FP!!).

You can go to see DHS and check out the new SW FW or Fantasmic! --- if they are not knocked down during construction !! And don't dare get hungry, because all of the restaurants will be closing to make room for the new attractions that should be ready by the time the next two SW movies are released.

You can go to Epcot and see "Illuminations"" - ( my personal choice) --- but ya better hurry, because I have a feeling that Disney is going to "Universalize" Epcot-- separate admission for Future World and WS ( I can see it down the road)

That brings us to "ROL"-- while not a fireworks show--- still a nighttime spectacular --- but it might be better to just see what the 5th park has to offer, as both shows will be opening Earth Day sometime this century.

I was purposefully avoiding the parks our arrival day, but I'm going! I'm taking the boyfriend to go TRICK OR TREATING!

I've been contemplating taking a short weekend trip with DD - and there is a party scheduled on my birthday! I'm starting to feel that AP temptation everyone talks about... (I understand that the party is a hard ticket with a separate cost - but with the AP I could stay an extra day and justify the flight cost a little better...)

I haven't been following this thread from the beginning but if the immediate few PPs are talking about MNSSHP, then def get your tickets & go! I don't pay extra for many hard ticket events but I went last Fall & it was absolutely incredible. The parade was to die for. I stuck around Haunted Mansion for the half hr before the party started & was rewarded with a personal audience with Madam Carlotta? ( I never get the name right) on the front lawn. They go all out at the HM for the party with CMs dressing up with makeup, the seasonal lights on the Mansion & the fog machines rolling. If you can do it, go. One of my best WDW experiences ever!

And save on food/room/shopping but be careful - we usually go once a year but upgraded for a 2nd trip & now there's 3+ in the works...you'll never look at a 4 day weekend the same way!!

The parade was to die for.

Perfect description of the Halloween parade.

I agree 100% that this is the best party Disney does, and I'm not normally a big Halloween fan.

So, DH will be home soon. And he will ask his now customary, "Any word on Rivers of Light?" even though if I ever scored something, I would obviously be calling him! I am afraid to tell him about Looming Morning Hootenanny.

It has just occurred to me that I didn't even call Disney Dining today to ask about ROL. That must be sign of losing hope, I do believe...or maybe the final stage of grief - acceptance. sigh....(of course, I'll be up at 6am checking, just to be clear...).

So - my coworker just got a text from his friend who is a cast member at Disney who stated: No more FP for fireworks or parades.

Would that include ROL? That's what we originally asked her about.

I've never seen anything hit their homepage that wasn't true. Tickets should open later today or in the morning - it's on DIS too now, I think. Original source is Parks Blog, so it's good!

Once available, you will be able to purchase online. But likely won't be for a few more weeks.

Well, I would take a look at Fantasmic! too, then...I would say ROL is more like that than WIshes or Illuminations...
