I've been reading that TIW may be retired for the regular Annual Pass in 2016 and only be apart of the Premium Annual Pass...........is there anything to this? We're saving for AP's that we're planning to get in November of 2016 (Yeah I plan that far in advance.....o_O)......there's about a $300 difference from regular to premium............I guess this far in advance I could up our savings but...........I'd rather not :-)

I haven't heard that rumor. I can't imagine it would be true. Where did you hear it? Did it mention Florida residents or DVC, who are also eligible for TiW?

I have also heard that they were going to do away with the TIW card. I hope not!!! I planned on getting an annual pass for my trip in January since I will also be going back in Oct. I had planned on getting the TIW card for my trips.

Where did you hear this? Several post have popped up on several websites, but I have yet to hear the source of the rumors?

Someone posted on a fb disney page I follow that they heard from 3 different CMs that changes are in the works

TiW is not a part of any AP, regular or premium.

True...but you have to be an AP holder (or DVC or FL Resident) to be able to purchase it....so it sounds like this rumor may change that to you have to have the Premium AP.

I hope they don't do this.....but if they do I think my days of TS eating is pretty close to over....I justify the ridiculous price with the TIW discount.....my head knows it's silly, but discount means I can justify it....take that away and I may not be able to justify it to my head. So, another reason to stay offsite so I can cook ALL dinners, not just some of them.

This thread belongs in the RUMOR Thread, for that's merely what this is right now, at BEST...A rumor.

I highly doubt that this is true....They raised the charge from $75 to 100 3 years ago. For A DVC member..or maybe an AP holder...1 of them...Disney is getting what they want from the return of these cards. People to frequently stay on property and eat at the Overpriced meals/ rather than going off property to save some $$$.

Sort of like adding the 6th, 7th, or 8th day onto your existing MYW card.....It cost you peanuts, but WDW knows that they've got you for those extra days ( To spend you $$$ here ) & not at the darkside..LoL:confused3
