Rumored Refurbs 2016

Hi everyone! Sorry if I missed a thread about this, but are there any rumored refurbs for next fall? I'm especially wondering about Jungle Cruise- apparently there has been a refurb in the works for years.

I'm planning a trip to Disneyland for the first time Oct 2016, and as a former WDW CM at Jungle I really really don't want to miss it! I'm also curious about other attractions that may be closed. I don't wanna miss anything!

Splash had a fairly long refurb this year. Matterhorn and Peter Pan had more extensive ones this year. I'd say anything else in DL is on the table. For October 2016 I wouldn't expect to know about any small refurbs until 3 weeks before and larger ones about a month before. And even then, the refurb schedule at DLR changes frequently. I'd say everything is on the table at DCA. Soarin just had a long refurb, but we know that the movie will change eventually.

F and Rail road, all of rivers of america and the island will be closed until mid 2017. Every thing closes Jan 2016 BBQ will be closed down, Aladdin will be stopped. You may want to plan your trip for 2017 if this is a first trip and don't think yo will get back soon? Next year is full of closures and all for Star wars land.

Soarin just had a long refurb, but we know that the movie will change eventually.

Video is changing next year, according to what was presented at D23. Rumors were saying that Soarin' would be down for an extended period (again) to recalibrate the ride (smells, movements, etc) and possibly changing the queue structure.

I expect it will close, but will be in the first half of the year, and reopened by summer.

ETA: Also, next fall may see a decently-high number of refurbs. Since the Diamond Celebration is coming to an end next September, they may do some longer refurbs they had been holding off on. Purely speculation, though.

Jungle Cruise typically closes for 1-2 weeks at the end of October/beginning of November when they do Jingle Cruise for the holiday season.

Unfortunately I am going to LA for a conference and the dates are non-negotiable. I am just going to tack a DL trip at the end of it. I am from New York and can't afford to fly cross-country often! I'll have to make the best of it.

I forgot about the JC holiday overlay- here's to hoping that it starts a little later than my trip, because I will really be disappointed.

Do we know when Fantasmic is re-opening? I've always wanted to be able to compare the one i'm used to with the DL version.

They haven't said when Rivers of America or the Railroad are reopening. ROA will affect F!, TSI, Mark Twain Riverboat, Sailing Ship Columbia and Explorer Canoes.

Yes, it's on the calendar to be down 11/2-11/12.

That actually makes me a bit sad....I'm doing the breakfast in Decemeber and didn't even think about it being Christmas...that actually makes me a little sad!

Just add, DLR does't normally announce their refurbishments until much closer to the dates (sometimes with less than a month to go). Pretty much the only consistent closures are for the installation and removal of the holiday overlays (Haunted Mansion/Haunted Mansion Holiday (for some of Aug/Sep and Jan), Space Mountain/Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy (for some of Sep and Nov), Jungle Cruise/Jingle Cruise (for some of Nov and Jan), and It's a Small World/It's a Small World Holiday (for some of Oct/Nov and Jan/Feb)) and the water rides (i.e., Splash and GRR) typically close at some point in the winter (Jan/Feb).

Thanks a lot! I am probably being obsessive over this already, but I have been dying to go to DLR for so long. I'm so excited about being able to see Haunted Mansion Holiday and Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy!!

It's gonna be a short trip, so I'll be taking my cues from Crush and going with the flow. I just wanted to mentally prepare myself if JC is going to be closed, since that's really what I'm looking forward to above everything else.
