Rumor Roundup

Since Ratatouille opend last week there have been a number of rumors circulating around the web on what is going to happening next at DLP. I've looked around and have tried to list them all below.

Please remember these are just rumors and I don't belive anything until I have seen it with my own eyes or see photos of the mechanical diggers moving.

• Toy Story Mania ride to be built at WDS

• Rock 'n' Roller Coaster to be re-themed as a Spider-Man or Iron Man coaster.

• Moteurs... Action! Stunt Show Spectacular to be re-themed as an Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. stunt show.

• Elsa and Anna Meet n Greet in the Princess Pavilion this Christmas.

• Spider-Man Meet n Greet in WDS to become permanent

• 1920's themed Hollywood Hotel to be built next to WDS.

• Marval Theme Park as DLP's 3rd gate construction to start in 2025

• Star Tours to be up graded to Star Tours 2 in time for the 25th anniversary.

• Jedi Training Academy to be installed in Videopolis Theatre.

• Big Thunder Mountain to undergo a massive renovation (closed for 6 months)

• Space Mountain also to close for 6 months for a renovation

• Disney Village to be extended between 2015 - 2020

• New bus station

• New Convention Centre

• A Disney California Adventure style makeover for the Walt Disney Studios Park.

Do you think they will have a family of the day like at MK when the characters leave the hotels in November ?
I would also love to see more character meal choices.

It would be amazing if these were true!!!

I particularly like the intro of Marvel, I am super hero mad and I think it offers more for boys, it's easy to feel like there is more for girls because of all the princess stuff. I don't have kids myself but have felt this in planning a trip for my niece and nephew.

The possibility of a new hotel is also very exciting!!!

I queued 90 mins to meet Spider-Man on my last trip, that was the longest I have ever queued for anything at DLP. I wish they would bring in the same system they have for the Princes Pavilion. If you could line up in the morning to collect a pass and then return later in the day it would be so much better.

I felt so sorry for a family I saw on our last trip - they had queued for two hours to see Rapunzel and when they finally got to the front of the queue, the older but still very young girl totally lost it and just cried and refused to go up to her. Rapunzel and the cast members gave her lots of time and encouragement but to no avail. Poor child and poor mum too!

As to this list, the new hotel sounds exciting (although I'm really waiting for Villages Nature) and a new bus station could only be an improvement. Star Tours is definitely due for an update. What is Toy Story Mania? Is it an existing ride from another park? I'm not too fussed personally about the other rides except BTM. Six months without that had better be worth it, I love it as it is and hope they don't make it any more, er, exciting.

Toy Story Midway Mania! is a six year old interactive 4-D attraction, currently located at Disney's Hollywood Studios, Disney California Adventure and Tokyo DisneySea. Here is a link to it on Wikimedia.

I personaly can't see them building this at WDS as I think the park already as a lot of Toy Story themed rides in Toy Story Playland.

Whilst I love Toy Story Mania (I have been on both versions; WDW and DL) I doubt they would build this. The two rides were built at the same time in the American parks and that was quite a few years ago now. I think they would buld something with newer technology. I hope they do upgrade Star Tours to Star Tours 2, the ride needs an update. A makeover of the Studios like at Californain Adventure would be great too, but again very costly so I doubt it would happen any time soon!

I think I might be responsible for the Marvel Park rumour.....we were discussing characters invading Disney on the podcast, and I said "not in my park. Give me a MAN park". Then we discussed the 3rd gate and some people took it as gospel. Sorry!!! Would be cool though!

Your not the only one, Philippe Gas president of Euro Disney also let slip in an interview with a French newspaper that the next major expansion will see Marvel themed attractions. Whether this is will be a Marvel themed land in WDS, or a whole new Marvel themed third gate, we just don't know.

Wow! Some of these changes would really elevate WDS. I think the 1920s-themed hotel sounds awesome too.

The 1920s hotel would be amazing, especially if it looked like a 'pre-accident' Hollywood Hotel!!!! Would make it a little spooky! lol

Your not the only one, Philippe Gas president of Euro Disney also let slip in an interview with a French newspaper that the next major expansion will see Marvel themed attractions. Whether this is will be a Marvel themed land in WDS, or a whole new Marvel themed third gate, we just don't know.

We are on the same par getting the rumour mill fired up haha! I don't think he let it slip. Nothing is ever let slip accidently ;-)

I am really excited by the rumours, I hope they're true but only time will tell.

I do hope they continue to add to the Disney park and do update all of the olds rides as suggested (phantom manor graphics and BTM visuals etc). But I understand they need to put most of the work into the studios.

Love the idea of the new hotel too. All of it sounds very exciting. Only problem if it is all true, it'll be ages before all of it's completed
