Rumor: No More 3 FP+ limits.

Did FP legacy prevent people from having to share? Everyone had an equal chance to get the passes.

As I see it, everyone still has equal chance to get the 3 passes that are currently being offered. And people have the option to get all three, none, or something in between. This sounds no different to me than the old plan. There were days when I didn't bother with FP at all and I liked it that way. There were days when I got only 1. And there were days when I FPed my way into a commando whirl. I really think the current issues are because people are being encouraged to plan out their rides. So not only does the experienced WDW guest plan these things, the non-experienced guests are being told to plan by the Disney powers that be.

Once the bands become old hat, I think things will even out. I think you will find people who want to be commando and plan everything to take full advantage of their FP+. And I think that the more easy-going, spontaneous types will maybe do some FP+ or maybe do none. Since this is "new", TAs and WDW CMs are harping on it to educate the guests, now everyone is aware and afraid of missing out. Once the newness wears off, the TAs and CMs will not be forced to tout the plan and things will even out. It is the nature of humans to even out the spectrum.

I hope my flame suit can handle the heat! haha

Yeah, I got some nasty for this post, I will leave it right here: http://disboards.com/showthread.php?t=3224738

ABANDON-THREAD.gif

I know I will get flamed but I'm ready. :firefight Why does a family/couple/solo traveler/guest-of-any-sort need more than 3 fastpasses in a day? I find this to be incredibly greedy. In any given park, there are about 3 big attractions (give or take). Is it absolutely necessary to ride those 3 biggies over and over and over again with little wait? Hey - I get it. I love Disney too. But, seriously? Why is it undesirable to have to share? This thread is making me shake my head.

So touring the parks the way you desire after you pay for tickets is greedy now? Gosh, I feel like I should send Disney a thank you note for generously providing me with 3 FP+ a day on my last trip after I gave them thousands of dollars for the privilege.

I apologize for any attractions I may have had the nerve to selfishly repeat. And I solemnly swear I will never visit the Disney parks more than once a year to make sure I do not ride more than my fair share of rides. You pass holders out there should watch yourselves!

Honestly, I'd like to know from the hardcore old school FP+ people. How many Toy Story Mania passes could you normally get in a day?

We have got 3 sets before in one day. Have a son with aspergwrs that's obsessed, so its a strategy definatly that I don't do anywhere but there and buzz at MK. Now, will need a new plan.

FWIW, you should thank them since fastpass is relatively a new feature. Also, they are rare in the fact they don't charge you for them.

FWIW, I did thank them. With the cost of my trip. They are a business, we pay them for service. I don't know what's with all the entitlement, greed and selfishness accusations regarding a service we pay for.

I am grateful I can afford Disney trips. I am not grateful to Disney for providing me with a service I pay for.

My complaint is if you want to park hop. It doesnt allow for it. We only used 1 FP at HS and then went to Epcot..still morning and was not allowed to get any more FP even though we had only used 1. Really sucks for park hopping people.

You are not the only one who pays for this service. Aside from the lucky person who may be there for free (I wish that were me), everyone pays. However, you seem to feel more entitled than another person/family/whatever who pays as well. Perhaps you feel more entitled than the rest, "morethananyonex" ... apt name.

Agreed! I hope this is something that changes since so many like to park hop.

Maybe a GAC card would help tou here? I don't know the rules but it seems like the perfect use for your situation.

Has anyone tried this with success? The limit of 3 FP's along with not allowing one to book in multiple parks on the same day has been major cause of complaints. I really hope the rumor of more than 3 fast passes is true.

I just read through this thread and didn't see it brought up so I'll throw it out there. It was posted(wish I could find/remeber where on Dis) that a CM at AK told people if they used all FP's before they left park that when they park hopped they could get new ones. I want to say they did not try it because of a change of plans. But interesting that CM's seem to have different information on getting more FP's. This sounds like what the OP stated; after 1pm type deal. So maybe it is coming eventually. THe height of season is fast approaching. I would not be surprised if it was rolled out then:rotfl2:

Guess it's no longer a rumor. Although, they aren't very specific. I think this is a very good step: http://www.wdwinfo.com/news/General...disney-updates+(Disney+Updates+-+wdwinfo.com)

Yeah, it isn't as much of a rumor when it comes direct from Tom Staggs :)

http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/bl...alt-disney-world-resort-hotel-and-day-guests/

No commitment as to when it will happen though.

I did contemplate that what this will do is drive guests who had been previously planning to get the more coveted later FP+ slots to switch to early slots, in the _hopes_ that there will still be decent choices later in the day.

Also don't know how this will affect tiered choices at Epcot and DHS - not that it is likely there will be Soarin' or Test Track or TSM slots still available later in the day :)

The only complaint I really have (I've been a big supporter of FP+) on DHS I always get TSM and would like to sometime get Rock and Rollercoaster. I've never been on the ride (mainly because my 5 year old isn't tall enough) but, I could do the ride swap on a later FP+.

Lastly, I just want a date when Mine Train opens and to be able to book a FP+.

And...just when I had everything planned out...I get to replan! WHOO HOO!
