I had AOL for years, and did not want to give it up because of a particular scrapbooking board I used to frequent. Finally, I bit the bullet and went highspeed.

Now, I found this board, lol!

I enjoy all the information on these boards but, I have a hard time reading them. If someone could please help me... I would appreciate it. Is there anyway to get rid of the posts that I've already read? Everytime I check the boards....all of the posts come back up. I takes me forever to weed through all of the posts to find ones that I haven't read. I'm sure I'm doing something wrong. Please help. Thanks, Lori

When you go to a forum (i.e. rumors and news), as you go down the list of threads, do not click on the thread title, click on the little gray square to the left of the title. It will take you to the first post since you last logged out. When you get to a thread without a box, that means that nothing new has been posted since you last logged out.

This worked but, I have another question. How do I get to the next unread thread? Do I have to keep using the back button and click on each individual unread thread? I'm use the AOL boards that I'm able to just click the next button and it takes me to the next unread thread. I'm sure I'm just doing something wrong. Thanks for your help. Lori

I'm not familiar with the rules from the AOL boards, but here on the DIS we have a *huge* variety of boards, each with a seperate topic. In an effort to keep things readable, we strive to keep each board limited to posts on the topic of the board.

As a result of the above policy, I'm going to re-direct this series of messages to the Community Board, since it isn't really news or a Disney-related rumor. We're glad to have you with us - enjoy the boards.

I didn't realized you posted here. We were in an AOL e-mail group together for our December of 2000 Disney trip!

I am not sure why I still pay for AOL, probably because it's the e-mail address I've had for the last 7 years, and the one everyone knows.

Scroll back up to the top of the thread, there is a "Next Thread" to click.

Nice to see so many 'old' aol posters here. I finally got tired of aol myself awhile ago and have been finding the wdw boards over there slowing waaayyy down. Loving it here tho. Good to see Andrew and Mei here. I've missed seeing your posts and traveled back over to aol once and awhile to catch up.
