Rumor about “modified experiences” when Disney reopens (read 1st post for potential modifications being considered)

Knicks are a bad example, they fill up MSG because going to Knicks games (even though they’ve been terrible for the last 18 years) is an event. People go to say they went to see a Knicks game at MSG, not necessarily to cheer for them.

Baltimore Orioles, or Miami Dolphins/Jacksonville Jaguars would have been a better example.

I should have looked for a sarcasm emoji - I meant that the Knicks (and I used to be a big fan during their ewing days) currently have no real fans (outside of spike lee)

I’d do the same thing actually. All this talk about theme parks and really just want to know if the resorts will be open for my dates. I know most people want Star Wars and Mine Train, I want Trader Sams and pineapple cocktails. 😳

Ugh me too! But Trader Sam's is so tiny... with social distancing they can probably let three adults, one child and a mini chihuahua inside! :eeyore:

It’s nice to be able to order and enjoy their cocktails on the outdoor patio while listening to live music, or play trivia, but it’s not the same as being inside the bar

What the Rangers? They are talking about the NHL coming back soon.

I’ll only be happy if they come back to finish the regular season. The Rangers were on a run, closing the gap on a playoff spot when they shut down. Obviously the momentum is lost, but they’d get a few players back from injury like Kreisler

My home park is Disneyland. Trader Sam's at WDW looked massive to me lol
Seriously! It's huge! I've tried for indoor seating at DL's Trader Sam's probably a dozen times, and only made it inside for drinks 3 times. I love it, but I rarely want to wait 60+ minutes just to sit in for a drink.

The Polynesian's definitely seems bigger, but I always wonder by how much... it seems like the space is larger but there's still the same amount of seating.

Early lunch. No loud bar atmosphere, but easy seating!

that... doesn't sound like a great idea being a holiday weekend... although neither does the 30,000 people high school volleyball competition they are holding at the OC Convention Center 6/16 so what do I know?

It is not going to be 30,000. We were scheduled to be there, but they are limiting the entire thing to the kids on the team plus 5 bench personnel and 10 chaperones. Our team decided to cancel. We decided not to spend that kind of money when only one person per family could watch. The regulations were just too stringent.

Our coach thinks the whole thing may be cancelled if enough teams cancel.

Good catch! Straight from the Union president... "The next phase will start four days later when Disney retail shops, such as World Of Disney Store and Disney eateries reopen, the union president said."

I like that there are four days between phases. If they follow that pattern and have four days until the resorts open then four days until the parks open, then four days until fireworks and parades are back- that will work out well. :)

A bit optimistic?

Family trip to Orlando for a volleyball tournament you can't watch your family in and theme parks you can't visit... that's definitely going to be a hard sell :(

Sorry you guys had to cancel, I can definitely see why though.

said it all my Orlando life, Universal communicates better and is better to their TM than Disney. I'm so excited to get out of the house to go somewhere other than Publix

From what I read on the other thread, from the Union letter, the recall starts the 24th. Which means that Sunday will be some of their first day back.
