Rumor about “modified experiences” when Disney reopens (read 1st post for potential modifications being considered)

I think if ppl even thought there was a way to link it back to wdw they would be all over it. A few states claimed residents who attended Mardi Gras were the ones who brought it back to their states which may or may not be true, but it certainly made the news at that time. And there has been been no outbreak among cast members reported either.
Well... in my opinion it would have been an absolute miracle if there wasnt an outbreak of some size going on before the shutdown.

My husband said he saw someone on the streets of NYC wear a face mask with a hole cut out to smoke a cigarette 😳
That's exactly why I feel educating people or having signs reminding people to do the right thing is the best practice. Having a ton of hand sanitizers is great until people start using them then go straight to touching their face right after using the sanitizers!

I watched the livestream of the last night at Magic Kingdom and couldn't believe it - the place was PACKED. I was thinking "What the heck? They're closing WDW because of a HIGHLY CONTAGIOUS VIRUS, PEOPLE!" That place should have been EMPTY, instead people jammed into the place like there was nothing going on at all. I wonder how many COVID cases came out of that alone? Far too many!
If any cases came out of Disney I promise it would have been all over the news and you know that
I know about 50 people who were there that last night because there was a big cheer competition and not one of them got sick. I also chat with these people regularly and no one in their circle has gotten ill either and we live in a so called hot spot area.

Theres nothing more the media in USA would like than to run a story of large amounts of cases at Disney so you know they tired real hard to find cases to trace back..
But it would still need numerous people to have come forward and claim they believe they got it at Disney.

If people didnt come forward whether there were cases or not, then the media had nothing.

Plus, anyone who did get ill probably had numerous other possible places of infection eg flights.

What a joke. Yet all their employees are expendable and have to wear them? Give me a break. Disney will have every guest sign a waiver before even in that park
I agree the heat stroke argument is overblown. I think the real issue is that there is a large contingent of guests who wouldn't visit the parks if they were forced to wear a mask the whole time. I'm in that group. I wear glasses and it would drive me nuts to have them constantly fogging up due to a mask. It's one thing to wear a mask on a short trip to a store. It's another to wear it for 8 hours straight in a theme park.

50% is still pretty darn crowded. From what I read, and no one knows for sure, they start the closing procedures at 65% on a normal day.
I keep trying to remind people: Christmas day is full capacity, 50% is about normal Disney crowd level (at least in times like early May). It's not really that empty, it won't accommodate tons of people flocking once they open, but they shouldn't be turning away mass amounts of people. And if it gets to 75% capacity I'm sure I won't want to be there anyway lol

Really? A healthy adult with autism who has sensory processing issues should be "fine" in 100 degree heat? Do explain how.

My healthy adult sister with severe Autism and sensory processing issues wears a mask with no issue. As does my Autistic daughter. Not all autistic people are the same.

Also, the guidelines for most places are that children under 2, and those who have medical (etc... Such as Autism, sensory issues etc...) issues that prevent them from wearing one are exempt.

Agreed. All these mandates yet nothing to protect CMs. And 50% capacity should be more like 25%. Seems like they skipped a phase and phase 1 should actually be phase 2.
I would love for you to explain why you think all healthy adults will be fine in masks in high heat. What about those with sensory conditions? Some people are also percectly healthy yet have temperature regulation issues. Some people are perfectly healthy but still take daily medications worsened by heat. Love to hear your answer.

So don't go then.

And how is Disney going to enforce those who do have medical issues to wear them vs people lying?
And yes, obviously not all people with autism are the same. I'm a teacher with 3 students on the spectrum in my class alone this year. It is a broad statement, but sensory issues have been proving a real problem for many.
