Rumor about “modified experiences” when Disney reopens (read 1st post for potential modifications being considered)

As to hand sanitizer, maybe they will have cast members standing outside restaurants providing wipes (maybe the check in folks)? On our Disney cruises they will sometimes run after little kids who try to sneak in without washing their hands.

I mean that makes sense and all, but isn’t it more amusing to think you could fall into the santization wormhole where you have to sanitize after touching the sanitizer with the sanitizer and so on and so on.
This made me think of the worst scenario (I use the term "worst" loosely) - going for the pump sanitizer and you pump it and it's empty. You've now touched a dirty pump and can't do anything about it.. *shudder*

That would be convenient but remember the best thing to use is soap and water

I teach Algebra; students continually vandalized our soap dispensers in the boys' bathroom. I REPEAT, we had NO SOAP FOR 4 months before, and up until, the week we closed. In the boys' bathroom. In middle school. That might be another worst case scenario. 😂

I’m a weirdo who brings my own liquid hand soap on trips. :rotfl2:

Except when you're good, wash your hands, then go to open the bathroom door and the handle/push plate hasnt been sanitized in the last couple of hours!

We taught teens how to handle this...always grab 2 napkins when you dry your hands...save the second to open the door, and then drop in an outside trashcan (unless you can still reach the bathroom one safely)...

PS - And if Disney doesn't have napkin dispensers in the bathrooms, they better starting building them soon:)...

Hand dryers only in disney isnt it?

I do this lol. We are spoiled with our Bath and Body foam soap. I hate bar soap. Even magical Disney resort bar soap.
We use one of the Method foam soaps, I think smells like the soap in Disney. It may be called sweetwater, would have to go check my cabinet. I agree, can’t remember the last time I used bar soap.

I guess ideal would be like having sinks at the entrance to every restaurant like they do before you can go into the buffet on the cruise ships

Maybe they can add those portable handwashing stations or something

That would go a long way with the flu and other nasties that run around WDW too.

A happy side effect of all this garbage, hopefully.

Just for the sake of argument
I think we can agree that the virus had to have been present at WDW before the closing
We know the parks and Disney springs were packed before the closing
We know there wasn't an outbreak coming from WDW, sure people might've been infected, sick, some even died but not an outbreak. Most recuperated
This was all before most people were taking precautions
Most of the country and the world has been shutdown, people staying at home making sure not to contract or spread the virus
WDW is reopening with extra precautions in place
People are better educated and aware on what to do
When guests come back they will mostly all be free of virus
Why is there such a fear of reopening?
ETA I know there are asymptomatic people but if you've been home for 14 days at least it has gone through your system already
