Rumor: A Soft Open?

OP thanks for posting.

I had expected CM & their families first, followed by local APH two or three weeks later depending on how things go

Thank for sharing this information. It will be interesting to see how things go over the next few months.

Beta testing with CMs and their families happens a lot on a smaller scale when new attractions are introduced. A CM acquaintance was testing the Skyliner one day when we were there last September. The following week, he and his wife did testing for it. It would not surprise me in the least if Disney did this with each park to test social distancing guidelines before throwing the gates open to the general public.

It seems impossible that they wouldn't soft open. Both because they would want to test the new lines/procedures/software and because, realistically, they need to bring the employees back to train those procedures, restock restaurants and shops, etc. You couldn't possibly re-open the parks the same day the CMs come back and you can't start with new procedures without having had all the CMs train on it.

Governor just said most of state is ready to go to phase 1 on May 4th,

I think it’s a pretty good sign we will see DVC resorts opening around the projected day of June 1st
