Rumor-7 Night Member Cruise to Alaska

So, do you think that will be it?

I would be happy with a different itinerary, but because of the time, either May or September, I think Alaska will be a hard sell for DVC. Neither May nor September are great months for Alaska weather, IMO.

If I could pick, and since the fall itineraries aren't out, I would hope for a September Hawaiian repositioning Member Cruise. People were mentioning possible Hawaiian itineraries in fall of 2015, so, I would want the "to Hawaii" cruise to be for members!:boat:

Interesting. And possibly very very scary pricing!

We were on an Alaskan cruise in the 3rd week of May 2 years ago and had fine weather. Our day in Glacier Bay was flawless with sunshine and no clouds which they said was rare for that to happen any time of the year. Just a little rain on our Skagway day but all other stops were at worst partly cloudy or else clear blue skies.

With the member cruise historically being during hurrican season I've gotten the impression that they tend to use it to fill a ship in the harder to book times.

We took the inaugural Alaskan cruise the first week on May in 2011. It was great because while it was cold, the snow hasn't melted an it really felt like Alaska to us!

Although I'd LOVE to go on it (A good excuse to get to Alaska), I don't see it happening for me. DH absolutely refuses to cruise, and I'm sure it would be toke expensive to take the cruise solo (most cruises charge a 200% supplement and I don't think this would be a big exception).

I would be interested, you need not pay the single supplement if we shared a room!:goodvibes

We'd love to go, however I don't know how happy my pocketbook will be once those prices are released! It's so nice to travel from/to home without long flights too. :)

I am interested in this, this will be 5th cruise, 2nd member cruise, 1st Alaska cruise.

My wife and I really want to do a member cruise, as well as an Alaska cruise (we're in Seattle, so sailing from a local port would be great). The combination of the two would make it tough for us to stay within our travel budget next year (particularly since we'd already be on a cruise to the Caribbean in April).
