Rules regarding Carry On Luggage

We are going to DW in Feb. and I need to find the regulations regarding what we can and cannot carry with us on the plane. I'm sure there is a government website but not sure where to find it.

Does anyone know where I should look?

Which airline are you flying? They usually have that info on their site or a link to the gov't site. I believe for the states it is the TSA website.

Here is the Transportation Security Administration's website.

It will guide you well about what you can and can't bring on. They seem to be following a "3-1-1" rule - 3 oz bottles in 1 clear bag and only 1 bag per passenger. It's very similar to the Canadian rules.

They also have a guide about how to get through the line faster - which will be very helpful as I find the American screenings to most frustrating ones to get through...
